Brandner Farms Organics Brandner Farms grows and sells organic and pesticide free fruits and veggies. We also sell organic m Turn right on the Olinda Side road.

Our crops are: Asparagus, Strawberries, Rhubarb, beans, beets, carrots, cukes, leeks, eggplant, zucchini, okra, tomatoes, radishes, onions, squash (butternut, acorn, butternut, spaghetti, red hubbard), pumpkins, kale, peppers, sweet potatoes, and garlic. We also sell homemade jams, raw and lavender honey, fresh cut sunflowers and free range eggs, and fresh breads

Directions: From Highway #3 (

Bypass) turn north onto County Rd. 34. At Road 5, (white church on the left corner) turn left. We are the first farm located on the right hand side.

Whats new on the farm.

🌿Oh the site of poison ivy!
Quick post to inform you of this nasty invader. Keep your eye open for these invasive a little monsters!

Remembering the phrase "leaves of three, let it be"
Poison ivy when young has a light reddish tinge to it's leaf, also you will notice one side of the leaf has a smooth edge and the other side of the leaf has a slight notch in it.

Take caution when removing it as every part of the plant is poisonous and can cause a blistery rash on your skin.

✔️How to remove poison ivy plants from your property, the safest and most effective manual method is:

*Protect Yourself First
Wear:

Long sleeves and pants
Waterproof gloves (vinyl or nitrile under work gloves is ideal)
Closed-toe shoes or boots
Eye protection if cutting or pulling vines

⚠️ Poison ivy contains urushiol oil, which can cause a rash even from dead plants, contaminated tools, clothing, or pet fur.

*Manual Removal
For small infestations:

Water the soil lightly.
Pull plants out by the roots.
Place plants in heavy-duty garbage bags.
Dispose of them according to local regulations.
🚿 Wash hands with gloves still on with dish soap before removing then pull them off inside out and dispose of them

Avoid breaking roots and leaving pieces behind, as the plant may regrow.

😃 With proper removal your garden will be a safe and enjoyable haven once again.

Did you plant garlic this year?

If so they should be looking fabulous and soon will be ready to harvest Scapes!

Here is a great recipe for garlic scape pesto you will ❤️

Organic Ingredients:

1 cup chopped garlic scapes (about 8–10 scapes)
1/2 cup nuts — walnuts, almonds, pine nuts, or sunflower seeds all work
1/2 cup grated Parmesan or Pecorino
1/2 cup olive oil (plus more if needed)
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions:

Lightly toast the nuts in a dry pan for 3–5 minutes until fragrant.
Add garlic scapes, nuts, cheese, and lemon juice to a food processor.
Pulse until finely chopped.
Slowly drizzle in olive oil while blending until smooth.
Taste and season with salt and pepper.
Add extra olive oil if you want a looser consistency.
