Established in 2016, Brothers Catering Others (BCO) started out as a couple of friends who met in high school. Each of the partners have different career backgrounds. Kitchen Manager, Daniel Hagglund, is studying to become a Red Seal Chef. Accounts Manager, Adam Saunders, is studying computer sciences. Service Manager, Shane Weerasinghe, is studying to become an MRI technician. In fact, all BCO st
aff come from different backgrounds. In high school the partners went on a retreat called the Kairos retreat, intended to help students develop a stronger bond with each other and grow as friends. This retreat brought them very close together to the point where they consider each other family. Brothers. The first catering event was a small cocktail party during the holiday season with roughly 50 people. Hagglund and Weerasinghe worked this event which was intended to be a one-off. The party was thoroughly successful, and as the party went on the two realised how much they enjoyed what they were doing. They thought it would be a great idea to do more events like this. The “Brothers Catering Others” company name leans on the thought that they see each other as brothers. They want to share that connection with all those that they cater to. Over time the dream of starting a legitimate, full-service catering business slowly became a reality, as they made connections with other local businesses that saw their goals and wanted to help build this company up. Comrades such as MAL Adjusted Media and Mighty Meats Butcher Shop helped, and continue to help BCO to get moving forward.
“Our passion for food and service comes directly from the heart from our family to yours, and we hope to serve you, your family, and friends.” – Kitchen Manager & Co-Founder, Daniel Hagglund.
