Helga is taking us behind the scenes of The Forks' annual waste audit, an important process that helps us understand what ends actually end up in the garbage compactor and allows us to identify opportunities to divert even more waste from landfill.

This year, The Forks saw a 10% increase in waste diversion compared to last year. Of all the waste generated on site, only 27% ended up in the landfill. The remaining 73% was recycled or composted.
