What a fun weekend showing at the Manitoba Sheep Association show in Minnedosa! We were very excited to be a part of the first ever Fibre Breeds Class and took Grand Champion with our Flock ram Leaf Haven Orion and his daughter Forever Prairie Cinnamon in the ewe class.

Looking forward to seeing this class grow in the upcoming years and we are so thankful to have a Fibre class of our own to show in and showcase the genetics we put into our Shetland Flock.

Thank you to Bar J Charolais & Simmental for encouraging me to show and for all your help this past weekend, I love showing with you guys!

You know spring is coming when it's shearing time for the sheep! Love that line up of all our handsome rams. 💗🐏

Not only do the sheep feel a few pounds lighter, it's also vaccines, dewormer and hoof trimming time! We also get a much closer look at our pregnant ewes and can see their udders starting to form! The count down for lambs in on!

Thank you to our wool skirting crew for cleaning and skirting the fleeces before they get rolled up! Jordan, Alex and Meagan you guys were a huge help. And thank you to Linda and Teah for looking after all the vaccines and deworming. And of course to our Shearer, Stacey, we couldn't do it without you! Thank you for always doing such a great job and looking after our fleeces!

I will be representing Manitoba Shetland Sheep at the first Pembina Fibreshed Mixer on Friday April 10. Riverview Community Centre, 90 Ashland Avenue, Winnipeg 7 - 9 pm.

Drop in to -
- meet the farmers who grow your fibre
- learn about animals, crops, and fibre production
- discover materials and homegrown colour for your next handmade garment
- build relationships across our regional textile community

And say hi to Kylie! I'm looking forward to being a part of this event and sharing some of our Shetland Sheep fleece with makers.
