Our Blomidon Brie makes an easy addition to your fall gatherings. Serve it with your favourite preserves, crisp crackers, and good company, then settle in and stay a while!

We are seeking a new member who will help with sales at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market in downtown Halifax on Saturdays, 7am - 2pm! ⚓️🧀

Candidates should be available every Saturday morning with very few exceptions in each calendar year.

We especially welcome applications from minority groups, women, recent immigrants, and persons with disabilities. There may be opportunities to participate in production, packaging or promotional/marketing events in the future.

Duties: Sell cheese at the Halifax Seaport Farmers Market on Saturday mornings

Requirements:

- A cell phone that can be used for processing payments, accessing our Google Drive and receiving and sending text messages in case of emergency

- Attention to detail and strict adherence to food safety protocols

- Excellent customer service

Assets:

- Some knowledge of cheese and how to speak about its different styles

- Experience in sales

Meet the Makers 🧀✨

Say hello to Michelle, one of the Assistant Cheesemakers behind Annapolis Fine Cheese!

Michelle has been with Annapolis Fine Cheese since December 2025, bringing a longtime passion for cheese and plenty of hands-on experience to the cheesemaking process.

Q: Favourite Annapolis cheese and why?
A: The Blomidon Brie. It’s fast-paced and challenging to make, which makes the process that much more rewarding.

Q: Favourite way to enjoy it:
A: Baked Brie topped with thyme and hot honey. Simple, warm, and delicious.

Q: Personal detail or fun fact:
A: I’ve had a passion for cheese for quite some time. At my previous job, my title was actually “Cheese Ambassador,” so you could say cheese has been a big part of my journey!

Q: What do you love about working at Annapolis or living in Nova Scotia?
A: The lakes and oceans surrounding us. We have so many beautiful places here in Nova Scotia to explore and visit.

A little family business field trip 🧀

Today we stopped by Cheese Boutique in Toronto, a family-owned business with a serious love for great cheese!

As a family business ourselves, it felt pretty special to visit, talk cheese, and see Annapolis Fine Cheese on the shelves at such an iconic Toronto food store.

Say hello to Adwith, part of the Production Planning & Process Control team behind Annapolis Fine Cheese!

Adwith has been with Annapolis for about a year and a half, bringing an engineering background and a passion for understanding how things work and finding ways to improve processes.

Q: Favourite Annapolis cheese and why?
A: The Truffle Fresh Cheese. Its creamy texture and unique flavour profile, with truffle salt and pepper, gives it a rich, earthy taste with just the right amount of seasoning.

Q: Favourite way to enjoy it:
A: As a spread on sandwiches or wraps. Simple, creamy, and delicious.

Q: Personal detail or fun fact:
A: I come from an engineering background, so I enjoy learning how things work and finding ways to improve processes.

Q: What do you love about working at Annapolis or living in Nova Scotia?
A: The people I work with. We have a great team that supports each other, shares knowledge, and makes the workplace feel welcoming. I also really enjoy working in dairy production and learning about the care and process behind making quality products.

A: Stuffed into Tortelli Maremmani with bacon or ground pork, topped with a Beurre Blanc. A little extra effort, totally worth it.

Q: Personal detail or fun fact:
A: I grew up on a dairy farm in Billtown, Nova Scotia, so cheese has basically always been in my blood.

Q: What do you love about working at Annapolis or living in Nova Scotia?
A: Getting to share our extraordinary Nova Scotian products with Canadians across the country.

Our Blomidon Brie was made for moments exactly like this. Soft, creamy, Nova Scotia grown. Pair with fresh strawberries, a little honey, and whatever’s in your glass. Summer doesn’t get better than this.
