September at Wheelock Dining Hall marks the start of a new academic year with a mix of welcome events, wellness initiatives, and themed food features that bring energy and connection to campus. The month begins with a Welcome Back to School Buffet and includes returning favourites such as Sundae Sunday, the Smoothie Bar, and the Fairtrade Iced Coffee Pop-Up.
Throughout the month, guests can enjoy featured experiences including MYO Energy Bites, the Organic Breakfast Bar, a Street Corn Pop-Up, and a Mac & Cheese Bar. International Flavours also returns with a special Food From Home feature, celebrating familiar and comforting dishes from around the world. Organic Month celebrations and the launch of the sustainability series further highlight the Dining Hall's commitment to sustainability and responsible dining.
Chef Appreciation Week provides an opportunity to recognize the culinary team, while Dietitian Snack & Chat sessions and consultation hours support wellness and nutrition education. A Dining Hall Scavenger Hunt adds a fun and interactive element to the start of the semester.
The month concludes with September Birthday celebrations and recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. As campus activity returns and routines settle in, September sets the tone for the year ahead with great food, meaningful initiatives, and community connection.
