Situated in the Annapolis Valley, Lightfoot & Wolfville Vineyards is one of Nova Scotia’s newest wineries, officially opening to the public in the summer of 2017. Owned and operated by the Lightfoot family who have been farming in the Annapolis Valley for eight generations, Lightfoot & Wolfville provides a truly unique farm winery experience. Embracing organic and biodynamic agriculture, this esta

te nurtures not only 35 acres of vineyard, but also raises heritage breed livestock, and grows its own produce for the winery kitchen. With close proximity to the Minas Basin and the world’s highest tides, cool breezes and excellent temperature moderation help create wines of great distinction. The focus is on elegant, balanced wines that speak of their origin including award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, aromatic whites such as Riesling and sparkling wines. The opulent underground barrel cellar and marquee tent among the vines provide the perfect backdrop for weddings and special events.

Happy Organic Month! Did you know that Lightfoot & Wolfville’s estate vineyards are certified organic?

For us, organic farming means working closely with the land: building healthy soils, supporting biodiversity, and being present & proactive in the vineyard. Organic farming is at the heart of how we care for our vineyards, and we are grateful to be the fourth generation of farming on this land.
