UPDATE: Suspect in custody. Emergency Alert ended.

An Emergency Alert has been issued across the Halifax Regional Municipality as police say they search for an armed and dangerous 31-year-old man believed linked to a morning shooting in Annapolis Royal.

After locating the suspect's vehicle behind Sunnyside Mall in Bedford, officers believe he fled on foot into the nearby woods. The suspect is a 6’3” white male with brown hair and facial hair.

Residents are urged to stay indoors, lock their doors, and avoid approaching him. Report sightings immediately to 911.
