Potato salad, pasta salad, chickpea salad, dips, and grain bowls can taste great when you first make them, then feel a little flatter once they’ve chilled.

That’s because the ingredients keep absorbing flavour as they sit.

There’s a reason for that.

When you stay around the same aroma for a while, your brain starts paying less attention to it. The food has not stopped smelling good. You’ve just become used to it.

But a good BBQ is often remembered for everything around it.

Greek Seasoning is one of those blends that makes simple food feel more pulled together.

It works especially well when the weather gets warmer and meals start getting lighter.

Think grilled vegetables.

Now that the weather has warmed up, this is the kind of side dish that ends up on repeat.

It’s fresh, a little smoky, easy to throw together, and works with pretty much anything coming off the grill.

BBQ Plus Grilled Corn Salad

Ingredients:

4 ears corn, grilled or roasted
1 red bell pepper, diced
1/4 red onion, finely diced
2 tbsp chopped parsley or cilantro
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lime juice
1 tsp Belle Donne BBQ Plus
salt and cracked pepper, to taste
optional: crumbled feta or diced avocado

Method:

Grill the corn until lightly charred, then cut the kernels off the cob.
Add the corn to a bowl with red pepper, red onion, and herbs.
Toss with olive oil, lime juice, BBQ Plus, salt, and cracked pepper.
Finish with feta or avocado if you want, and serve warm or chilled.

It’s a great one for BBQ nights, potlucks, or just having something ready in the fridge that actually tastes good.

It’s amazing how often dinner starts before you feel ready for it.

The clock says 5:29.
The counter’s half a mess.
