For years the message was relentless: livestock is the crisis, methane is the enemy, cut the herds or the planet burns.

Documentaries, headlines, policy pushes—all aimed at cows.

Now the same voices and institutions barely blink as countries race to approve massive data centers.

Each one pulls more electricity than a small city, around the clock, every day.

That electricity comes from real power plants burning real fuel, and the demand keeps climbing with no slowdown in sight.

The focus simply followed the preferred narrative.

As always.

We all have a Word Account.

Every time you do what you said you would do, you make a deposit.

Every promise you keep is a deposit.

Every commitment you honour is a deposit.

On the other hand…

Every excuse is a withdrawal.

Every broken promise is a withdrawal.

Every commitment you fail to keep is a withdrawal.

Over time, people don’t judge us by what we intended to do. They judge us by the balance in our Word Account.

If someone reviewed yours today, what would they see?

Management has received complaints about productivity.

The girls insist they worked the night shift and deserve a nap.

HR is still reviewing the situation. 😂🤎

Well… yesterday I was out cutting the grass. Today, much of that same area is sitting under about 4 inches of water. 🌧️🤦🏽‍♀️

It’s amazing how quickly things can change.

In today’s video, I take you for a walk around the yard. We start where I was mowing yesterday, then head over to the fire pit before checking on our large garden (120’ x 35’), which is still far too wet to plant.

After that, we make our way over to the slip and slide, where there’s now a pool of water underneath it. Safe to say Mother Nature has been keeping us on our toes this year!

To finish off the tour, Bella and Casha - the two sisters we adopted back in 2020 - are there to greet me as I head back inside. 🤎

I know many farms and families are dealing with the same conditions right now, and my heart goes out to everyone whose fields, gardens, homes, and plans have been affected by all this rain.

How much rain have you had where you are?

Happy Sunday from the farm! 🌾

I’m out cutting the grass today while Curtis is tackling a big rock in the yard with one of our machines. There’s always something to do around here, and that’s one of the things I love most about farm life.

I hope everyone is having a great Sunday and finding some time to enjoy the day, whatever you’re up to. 🤎
