Health and safety works best when everyone is involved! 🦺

In Ontario, workers have the right to participate in keeping their workplace safe by reporting hazards, sharing concerns, and contributing to safety discussions. Workers can participate by collaborating with their supervisors or the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

When workers speak up and employers listen, safer workplaces are created for everyone. 🤝

The Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 restricts smoking and va**ng in enclosed workplaces, including company vehicles, and having a clear Smoking and Vape-Free Environment Policy ensures your organization goes beyond basic compliance.

A strong policy helps:
• Ensure compliance with provincial legislation and avoid potential fines or complaints.
• Protect employee health by reducing exposure to second-hand smoke and vapour.
• Create clear expectations around smoking and va**ng on company property, in company vehicles, during breaks, and in designated areas.
