Look at this gorgeous olive-coloured egg! 💚🥚

One of my customers recently shared this beautiful egg from a pullet that I hatched here at Saltcove Henhouse this past spring and sold to her as a chick!

It’s so exciting to see the results of my breeding program and the beautiful egg colours these girls are producing!

I always love getting updates from customers who have purchased chicks from me. Seeing them grow up and start laying is such a rewarding part of raising and breeding chickens!

And this olive colour is absolutely stunning! 💚

Looking to add some adorable, fluffy Silkies to your flock?

Saltcove Henhouse has a limited number of Silkie hatching eggs available!

Our colourful flock includes a beautiful variety of colours:

* Lavender
* Splash
* Chocolate
* Black
* White
* Cream
* Buff

Our Silkies are housed together in a mixed-colour flock, so you never know what beautiful colours and combinations might hatch!

$50 per dozen

Shipping available at buyer’s expense.

Located in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia.

Message us to reserve your eggs or inquire about shipping!

Fertility and hatch rates cannot be guaranteed, especially with shipped eggs.

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend filled with family, good food, and plenty to be thankful for! 🧡

🥖A little bread update: With the cooler weather settling in, I’ll be taking a break from regularly stocking the stand with fresh bread until spring. However, I’ll still be accepting bread orders throughout the fall and winter! Just send me a message if you’d like to order.

🥚 Eggs will still be available! Quantities are a very limited right now as many of my hens are going through their fall molt and taking a well-deserved break from laying. I’m hoping production will start picking up again over the next few weeks!

Thank you all so much for supporting my little farm stand. I’m truly grateful for every purchase, kind word, and visit! ❤️

A homegrown turkey from Salt Cove Henhouse, all cleaned, packaged, and ready for its new home!

This handsome fellow was raised right here on our little farm, and it’s pretty rewarding to see all those months of feeding and caring for our birds turn into something that will end up on someone’s dinner table.

There’s something special about knowing exactly where your food comes from and how it was raised.

A big thank you to our customer for supporting our small farm! We’re looking forward to raising more turkeys next year! 🦃
