We want to announce a new partnership. Our products are now available at Hell's Basement Brewery and watch for new menu items coming soon. As you know this beloved brewery closed its doors but with new ownership it’s open once again with many of the old favourites and some new brews to try. They also serve a fantastic non alcoholic pilsner as well as having a dog friendly patio. Give them a try and watch for new MacPherson Meats items being announced.

We don’t usually do posts like this but it actually makes me mad how some scammers take advantage of people. The newest scam on Facebook is they are creating business pages for farm to plate meat companies. Below is two examples of ones I have caught and called out but Facebook won’t remove them. You will see them showing up on buy and sell pages around the province with unbelievable prices on meat. Then when you order a meat package they ask for a etransfer deposit which you won’t get back and won’t get the meat. We have never been ones to slander or run down competition, we welcome it. Let the product speak for itself but this isn’t competition, it’s theft.

Four easy ways to find out if they are scammers.

1. Check their page to see if a location is listed. If not, ask them to provide the location of their farm or shop. Ask if you can pick up on farm or ask for a phone number to call. Verify that location before purchasing. First red flag is they won’t list a location or give you a straight out answer.
2. Check pricing. If it is considerably lower then any other pricing you can find that is a red flag. Unfortunately it cost so much more today to raise and sell meat which is why the price is what it is. To good to be true pricing is usually just that.
3. Check for reviews or word of mouth. Zero reviews or zero stories of people who have bought from them is another red flag.
4. Asking for a etransfer before discussing a location for delivery or providing their address.

Please be careful. In all honesty, you don’t have to buy from us but don’t get scammed. Buyer beware. Share this for awareness.
