is in dry sheets , it’s 2.30am and I am back home. It has been a blast again, many hours and lots of work but so many nice people who gave me such nice feedback, that’s makes my Brewing Heart. I made normal beers, IPAs, sours, smoothies, barrel aged stuff and beergeek madness that clogged my tap instantly and had to be tapped uncooled from the keg, i showered my neighbours in smoothie stout (sorry !!!), my tap system lost pressure and the Smoothie was First thick and later thin but still it was in an amount people appreciated I am struggeling to improve every year. People were lovely, organization and ambiance was great, and the Level of the other breweries was again extraordinary. Great experience again. Thank you , thank you beergeeks and regular beerdrinkers.

Lagerfeuer 11.5% is a Rauch barleywine aged for one year in a barrel that Held tawny portwine and the for a year my quad. Plus I added a fresh barrel kit (toasted barrel oak staves from .shop drenched in bourbon) so now it’s a intense smoke barleywine with some port, quad, and bourbon barrel edges. It’s somewhere inbetween f**k smoke and wow that’s layered and barreled. Anti boring. I like it a lot. Available at .liestal and on tap. And in bottled at my Webshop and soon at

Very Nelson forward. I had ordered my hops for the first time from another Onlineshop than my usual and received miserable quality, no vacuum and up to 5years old, so I emergently had to get back to ma usual to get fresh Nelson sauvin. So I used Most of the old stuff (lupomax bru-1, lupomax Citra and chinook) hotside and Whirlpool and dryhopped with 14g/l Nelson. Still has a tiny bit of hopburn and will improve in the next weeks.

Firstpour. This is a fresh ipa I did together with .schmid.3745 , called S*x, flowers and fruits at6.5% It was meant to be a West coast ipa but due to some unexpected haze now defines as an American IPA. It sure has the Crunchy bitterness and the Hop Profile for a Westcoast. It is less dry than my favorite Westcoast and also has a bit more body, so it really qualifies as a crunchy hoppy American ipa. Hops are Bravo, Idaho-7, Talus , Bravo, loral, chinook, continously added through boil, Whirlpool and dryhop. Lots. I learned a lot from Marc, who is a biochemist, about hop techniques and waterchemistry. It was a great and interesting brewday.
Labels are on the way, tasteable on tap at .liestal saturday next week and also in my online Shop sometimes next week.

Next week saturday will be .liestal  and I have to make a Choice out of the 11 fresh beers I have to reduce it to the 7 ...

Next week saturday will be .liestal and I have to make a Choice out of the 11 fresh beers I have to reduce it to the 7 taps I have. Tough choice. Di I take two different ipa’s or 3 different fruited beers or rather take a small stout? What will Cover the windest Range of tastes for a beermarket, wich is a mixture of regular people and Nerds.
