Enjoy Zweigelt Ried Waldacker Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve 2020 with Uncork Wines!

The Neusiedlersee DAC area extends from the north to the east shore of Lake Neusiedl and has a vineyard area of around 6,000 hectares, of which around 1,500 hectares are planted with Austria's most widespread red wine variety, Zweigelt.

The terroir is characterized by sandy, loamy soils with varying amounts of gravel.
🍷
This climate is characterized by hot, dry summers with moderate rainfall and cold, snowless winters. An important factor for the microclimate is Lake Neusiedl, the largest steppe lake in Central Europe. In summer, the large body of water heats up and slowly releases the accumulated heat into the surroundings at night. The slight cooling at night promotes the development of cool fruit and maintains the necessary acidity.

Zweigelt Neusiedlersee DAC Reserve wines are complex and powerful with a clear spectrum of aromas from black cherry to blackberry to elderberries. The fruit is complemented by spice and mineral tones. These wines only come onto the market after maturation period for over a year and have great potential.

The wines can be excellently combined with braised meat, game dishes or beef. Thanks to their balance, the Zweigelt Reserve Neusiedlersee DAC wines are also recommended with international dishes.
