Have you noticed a new 'La' from Guigal?

2022 marks the first vintage for the cuvée. It is made of 100% Syrah grown on the 1.6ha Fongeant lieu-dit.

It has been highly praised by the critics so far and deemed as another age-worthy Côte Rôtie. Whether you are a 'LaLaL' collector or not, it will certainly be interesting to try the wine.

Nearly two dozen lots from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are offered in our June auction. Alongside the famous DRC Corton-Charlemagne, La Tâche, and Richebourg, there is a bottle of the rare Romanée-Conti; only about 6,000 bottles are produced each year from its 1.81 ha monopole vineyard.

With merely 0.2590 ha under vine, Ramonet’s Montrachet is among the most sought‑after wines at auction.

Jasper Morris MW once commented: "The Ramonet wines would typically be nowehere in the running at first sniff, but would subsequently blossom and frequently take first place by the end of the evening."

𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟓 𝐉𝐚𝐜𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐮 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜 𝐝𝐞 𝐁𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐬 𝐁𝐫𝐮𝐭

This bottle dates from the Anselme Selosse era. A pioneer of organic and biodynamics viticulture in Champagne, Anselme is also an early advocate of terroir-driven Champagne.

Oak barrels are used for fermentation, leaving the wines on lees for extended period of time and keeping the dosage at minimum.

What we have here for the June auction is definitely an iconic bottle.
