The future of food is already here.

The plant-based food industry is growing quickly. However, new construction projects require years and significant capital to scale up. A smarter approach is to retrofit existing food infrastructure to increase production capacity.

Our Chief Operating Officer Benedicte Veinand added: 👉 “In 2026, scaling food and beverage innovation is about smart use of existing infrastructure. Flexible, lean production models enable faster lean scale-up across categories without the need for heavy capital investment.”

Using existing facilities reduces risk and cost, allowing more investment to go toward product innovation and adoption.

Marcin Niedzielski, Chief Executive Officer at Agilery, shares: 👉 “High capital requirements still slow innovation in categories like plant-based meat. Reusing existing facilities lowers risk, reduces costs, and allows more resources to flow into product development and market adoption.”
