Two shops. One basket. One very British online home. 🇬🇧

Jim’s British Market and The British Cheese Deli are now officially together online.

That means you can now shop your British groceries, pantry favourites, treats, chilled goods and artisan cheese all in one place — with one checkout, one delivery or one collection.

A much bigger range. A much easier way to shop.

And yes, the cheese is coming too. Our latest delivery has been slightly delayed and is now expected Monday / Tuesday, but you can still order over the weekend and we’ll have everything ready as soon as it lands.

Have a browse. Fill your basket. Enjoy the best of both.

One of those little Swiss mountain moments 🇨🇭

A tiny honesty shop just below the Ueschenen valley in Kandersteg, stocked with local raw-milk Alpkäse and Hobelkäse.

No counter. No shopkeeper. Just choose your cheese, pay by cash or TWINT, and head home.

I went for the Hobelkäse - beautifully mature, nutty and savoury, but with an intensely peppery finish - what you might expect from an 18 month matured raw milk Hobelkäse.

From the alp, to a little wooden hut, to the kitchen table.

Another unwrapping of great British history, and this time it's Appleby's Cheshire - the clothbound, raw-milk tangy 🌻 yellow cheese that was once even more famous than Cheddar.

Available now in store ... and online again soon once we've completed a few renovations to our webshop.

Apéro hour, a beautiful evening, and a bottle that feels very easy to justify.

We’ve got cold bottles of Sugrue Rock Story sparkling wine available now at the British Cheese Deli - a seriously impressive English sparkling wine with freshness, depth and proper character.

It’s a multi-vintage, Pinot-led Brut, made with reserve wines for extra richness and complexity, while still keeping that crisp, elegant English sparkling style.

Perfect as an apéro, but more than capable of sitting properly at the table too.

We’ll be closed on Saturday for Swiss Day, so pop in tomorrow and stock up properly.

Open tomorrow (Friday): 9am–8pm
Fresh sausages, bacon, and just enough Britishness to confuse the grill.

After a rather long pause, we’re happy to say that Richmond 12 Thick Pork Sausages and Wall’s 12 Thick Pork Sausages are back in stock.

Proper freezer favourites, ready for sausage rolls, sausage sandwiches, bangers & mash, or the emergency “what’s for dinner?” moment.
