Hong Kong this week was a big moment for Chilean wine. 🇨🇱

34 wineries at Vinexpo Asia 2026, with 19 pouring under the official Wines of Chile pavilion. Buyers and importers from Japan, South Korea, China and across the region came to taste and connect. Chile had a strong presence on the major wine fair in Asia.

Chilean wine just made a big impression in China. 🇨🇳

Last week, Wines of Chile took the roadshow to Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and nearly 900 buyers, press, and wine professionals showed up ready to taste. The energy was real, the glasses were full, and business was very much on the table.

China has always had a special place in the Chilean wine story, and it’s great to see that connection getting stronger again. 🍷🌏

The story between Chilean wine and China is just getting started again.

♻️ 84 million fewer kilos. On International Recycling Day, we look at how a lighter bottle is transforming the wine industry.

Since 2007, Chilean wineries have reduced the average weight of their bottles from ~600 to ~450 grams. A change that may seem small, but the impact is huge:
🍷 25% less glass per bottle
🌎 84,600 fewer tons of glass shipped annually
🚢 Over 84 million fewer kilos transported globally each year

With over 560 million bottles exported from Chile every year, every gram counts.
Sustainability in wine can also start with the bottle 🍷♻️
