Ice is just frozen water, right? Actually, no. 🧊

I’ve noticed that many people in the F&B and hospitality sectors don't realize how much the shape of the ice they use actually matters. Using the wrong type of ice doesn't just slightly alter the taste of a drink—it can directly lead to negative customer reviews and affect your bottom line.

Here is a quick breakdown of what you should be using:

Cube Ice: High hardness and a slow melting rate. This is your reliable workhorse for milk tea and standard cold beverages.

Flake Ice: Because of its large surface contact area, this is the absolute best choice for transporting aquatic products and keeping seafood fresh on exhibition stands.

Sphere/Ball Ice: Appearance is power. This is explicitly designed for premium whisky and high-end bars where aesthetics matter just as much as the chill.

Snowflake Ice: Highly versatile. You'll see this used in everything from the medical industry to high-end food presentation and preservation (like in premium hot pot restaurants).

As a source factory for commercial and industrial ice machines with approximately 18 to 20 years of manufacturing experience, we at Ningbo Kaison Electrical Appliance Co., Ltd have seen firsthand how the right equipment changes the game. We manufacture machines across various types and specifications to meet these exact industry needs.

I’ll be honest—we are not the cheapest ice maker manufacturer in Ningbo. We aren't the largest one either.

But here’s an interesting fact: 80% of customers who visit our factory and compare our quotes with others ultimately choose to work with us.

Why? Because in B2B manufacturing, peace of mind is priceless. We win our clients' trust by sticking to three simple rules:

1. 100% Price Transparency
Doing business shouldn't be a guessing game. From our very first quote, we lay everything out clearly: shipping, accessories, testing reports. No hidden fees, no sudden price increases later.

2. Quality That Survives Disassembly
The core of an ice maker lies in its compressor and condenser system. We use top-tier brand compressors, 100% full copper tubes, and 1.2mm thick steel plates. We even send our clients detailed disassembly videos so they can see exactly what's inside. We dare to show the details because we don't cut corners.

3. We Do What We Say
When we say "full copper," we mean full copper. We don't slap labels on inferior machines. We are a direct, original factory—not a trading company.

At the end of the day, doing business is about being a decent person. If you’re looking for a reliable, original ice maker factory in Ningbo for a long-term partnership, let's connect.

Lots of customers ask me, "How do you actually guarantee quality?" The answer is pretty simple, and I wanted to show you guys exactly what happens behind the scenes! 👀👇

Here at Kaison, we don't just randomly check a sample from a production batch. Before ANY ice machine leaves our factory, every single unit must complete a full performance test before it can be packed. We don't just inspect the machines visually—we actually run them! 🧊⚙️

Every machine goes through a strict quadruple test:

Ice Test 🧊

Cooling Test ❄️

Circuit Test ⚡

Water System Test 💧

Not one less! Because for us, quality isn't just a promise we make; it’s something we verify before every single shipment. 100% factory tested, every time 💯.

Huge thanks to our global distributors for trusting us as your go-to OEM & ODM manufacturer! 🌍🤝

Wait for the plot twist! 😂 Ever wonder how those super smooth product transitions are actually filmed?

What you see: A flawless, high-tech zoom straight into the product ✨
What actually happens: Us literally dropping a heavy catalog from the ceiling while filming upside down! 💥🤣 (Almost a workplace injury right there!)

But hey, you have to admit this "from catalog to reality" camera trick is actually pretty brilliant! Low budget, but cinematic results. Are you guys taking notes? 📱😎

We might use some "creative" methods for our behind-the-scenes videos, but when it comes to manufacturing ice makers, we are 100% professional! 🧊
Ningbo Kaison is your go-to original source factory for premium ice makers. If you need top-tier quality straight from the source, we've got you covered! 💪

If you ever buy a Kaison ice maker, I have a small confession to make: you aren't the first person to use it.

In fact, we made sure to put it to work before it ever saw a cardboard box.

I was walking through the factory today, and the video shows exactly what I mean. Every machine you see lined up under those blue lights is a finished product, ready to be sent to a customer. But we don’t just assemble them, pack them, and wave goodbye.

We hook every single unit up to water and power.

We watch the water flow. We listen to the hum of the mechanics. And most importantly, we stand there and wait for that final, satisfying drop of solid ice.

Does running a full, real-world cycle on 100% of our units slow down our shipping process? Definitely. It makes our testing floor a bit wet, a little noisy, and much busier than if we just did random spot-checks.

But we’d rather catch a tiny issue here on our floor than let a restaurant owner discover it during their Friday dinner rush. To us, a machine isn't "finished" when the last screw is tightened; it's finished when it proves it can actually make great ice.

Just keeping it real from the factory floor today! 🧊

There is a specific sound in our workshop that I’ve come to appreciate more than any other.

It’s not the hum of the assembly line or the clatter of tools. It’s the sharp, rhythmic clatter of a fresh batch of ice hitting the collection bin.

In the video," you can see that moment of truth. Every single Kaison ice maker is bathed in that blue light while it undergoes its final exam. We don't just pull these off the line and ship them. They have to "prove" themselves first.

The Check: We run a full cycle to ensure the cooling is consistent, the harvest is clean, and the mechanics are sound.

The Why: For us, this isn't just about avoiding returns or "quality assurance metrics." It’s about the person on the other end.

When a café owner or a restaurant manager unboxes one of our machines, they shouldn't have to troubleshoot. They should be able to plug it in, flip the switch, and have it work—simple as that.

To us, that final test is a silent conversation between our shop floor and the customer’s kitchen. We want to make sure that when the machine reaches them, the only thing they have to think about is what they’re serving, not the equipment they’re serving it with.

It’s the small, quiet details that keep us doing what we do.

24/06/2026

Just captured a slice of our everyday routine in the workshop.

Watching rows of ice makers running smoothly on the testing line, the water circulating under the blue lights, and finally hearing that satisfying clatter as the ice cubes drop all at once—it honestly never gets old.

Industry peers and customers often ask me: How does Kaison keep its defect rate so low?

Truth is, there's no profound secret. We just rely on what you might call the most time-consuming, "stubborn" method out there.

Here at the Kaison factory, we have a non-negotiable rule. Before any machine is boxed up, it has to be plugged in, hooked up to the water supply, and run through a complete, real-world ice-making cycle—exactly like you see in the video.

Is the ice-making speed up to par?

Are the ice cubes fully formed and solid?

Is the ice-harvesting process smooth? Are there any abnormal noises?

A machine only earns its QC tag and leaves the factory after we watch a flawless batch of ice drop and confirm every single metric is spot on. If we notice even the slightest hiccup, it goes straight back for rework. Zero exceptions. No shipping allowed.

In an industry that constantly pushes for speed and volume, doing a 100% full inspection on every single unit definitely takes more time and adds to our overhead. But we know what matters. Solid, hands-on quality control gives our customers real peace of mind, and that beats flashy marketing any day. Quality isn’t just a slogan on a PowerPoint slide; it’s proven by every cube of ice that drops before it leaves our doors.

Today’s batch of rigorously tested machines is all packed up and ready to head out. Here’s to giving our customers the most worry-free experience possible. 🧊

"Everyone else always says it can't be done."

I hear this way too often from clients who come to us looking to customize their commercial ice machines. They ask their suppliers for a different panel color, a tweaked keypad function, or maybe specifying 304 stainless steel for the internal evaporator while keeping 201 for the exterior to balance cost.

The answer they get is usually a flat "No."

Why? Because many suppliers out there don't actually own their core technology or molds.

With over 20 years of manufacturing experience, our approach is entirely different. We are the original factory. The molds, the production lines, and the core technologies—they are all in-house.

So when our partners ask:
👉 "Can we put our brand logo on it?" — Sure.
👉 "Can we customize the panel color?" — Absolutely.
👉 "What about modifying the keypad functions or the overall appearance?" — Our engineering team will directly present the plan for you.

Not every factory can handle deep customization. But here, your unique requirements are exactly what we bring to life on our drawings.

If you're hitting a wall with rigid suppliers and want to build equipment that truly fits your market, maybe it's time to talk to the source. Send me a message and let's see what we can build together.

Ever been deep into typing an important message to a client, only to have a colleague tap your shoulder and demand a quick answer? 😅

That was me this morning. Right in the middle of a chat with a customer, my team asked me to do a rapid-fire rundown of the most critical installation requirements for our commercial ice makers. Since I had to list them out anyway, I figured I’d share the "cheat sheet" here.

Having manufactured commercial refrigeration equipment for over two decades, we've seen every installation mistake in the book. If you want your ice maker to survive and thrive, get these basics right before you even unbox it:

💧 Water Pressure Matters: Keep the water inlet within 1.5 meters. The pressure must be between 0.3 and 3 MPa. If your local pressure is over 3 MPa, a pressure-reducing valve is non-negotiable.

⚡ The Power Trap: 220V single-phase electricity, wiring over 1.5mm², and it must be grounded. Strictly no three-phase power, or you'll fry the system.

🌊 Gravity Drainage: Water doesn't flow uphill. The drain outlet must be at least 5cm lower than the machine, with a clear drainage channel within 1 meter.

🌬️ Breathing Room: Leave at least 20cm of clearance around the vents. Ice machines hate extreme weather—keep the room temperature between 10-32°C. Anything below 5°C or above 38°C will damage the equipment.

⏳ The Golden Rule: Just like I mentioned in my last post, once the machine arrives, let it stand upright for 24 hours before powering it on to let the compressor oil settle.

🚰 Filter Maintenance: Change the water filter every two months. We always recommend installing a professional water purifier to significantly reduce long-term malfunctions.

It sounds like a lot, but these details eliminate 90% of future maintenance headaches.

I actually have a complete, easy-to-read Installation Checklist. If you are a distributor or just buying a machine for your business and need a copy, drop a "Guide" in the comments and I'll send it straight to your inbox.
