Taking a short break to visit family and spend time with locals eco-dying using the techniques that have been used for hundreds of years in Cusco. We got to see the process in Alpaca, Vicuna and Llama wool. Went for a hike to the 7 Lakes of Ausangate where is so quiet you can hear the glacier cracking, watched Suri Alpacas waddled around with their beautiful wool, watched the Cora Cora fly around us, and took a dip in the hot springs of Pacchanta.
Big thanks to for guiding our Ausangate trek, every detail was thought of with eco-friendly options amazing lunch and snacks and very knowledgeable guide was an unforgettable experience. Big thanks to Marleny and all the ladies from a women's business association of textiles. Will never forget the warm welcome to their center, sharing their knowledge and making
birthday so special; can't wait to work with them in a cultural exchange at our farm. A stop at MachuPichu was a must, never get tired of the view. Over the Andes on our way to sunny Pimentel were I spent my summers as a child.
More updates coming up as we visit cotton and flax seed plantations, watch how linen and cotton is made then we will do some botanical prints with local flowers and leaves.

And just like that it's time to say good bye Costa Rica see you in a couple of weeks. Leaving full of amazing memories, great food, warm people, incredible views, and a unique take on life. I got the opportunity to catch up with a HS friend after 40 years, enjoyed volcanos, plantations, views that can last a lifetime, incredible variety of dye flowers, and got to see some artists at work. Trip wouldn't be complete without trying fresas con crema, olla de carne and having gallo pinto and plantains for breakfast.

Taking a short break at the end of the season and enjoying Dia de los Mu***os in San Miguel de Allende. Beautiful town, and great celebration.

Hard to say which season I love the best but fall with it's amazing colors is one of my favorites at the farm. Colors were at peak last weekend, and the views of from the farm were pretty amazing.
We still haven't had a hard frost so lots of flowers blooming as we start putting the flower beds to rest and switching gears to our workshops .
Keep an eye out for our wreath class at CORE Nov 22nd

Big thanks to for hosting our Botanical art guided workshop and to all the ladies that attended. It was amazing to see all the different takes on the project and so fun to spend an afternoon by laughter and creativity. I can't wait for our next project the Christmas wreath in November.
