The new AE-RD/RE hopper pump is a progressing cavity pump engineered to handle highly viscous, non-flowable and solids-laden media in demanding industrial applications. Designed for industries such as

- wastewater,
- paper,
- marine,
- chemical and process engineering,
- mining and power generation.

The AE‑RD/RE is purpose-built to convey difficult media, including dewatered sewage sludge and other thick, high-solids products, through a closed piping system rather than open conveyor belts. Its two-part, large-scale casing design, optimized screw conveyor and vertical wall surfaces in the inlet hopper enable trouble-free operation without the need for separate bridge breakers, reducing equipment complexity and investment costs. The flow-optimized stuffing box between the inlet hopper and rotor/stator ensures the best possible filling of the conveyor elements and helps prevent partial dry running, increasing reliability in continuous-duty service.

With the delivery of ten GVRN sulfuric acid pumps and a mobile RN tank‑drainage pump, Rheinhütte Pumpen has added another reference in one of the most demanding applications of the process industry. Sulfuric Acid as a Core Component of Metallurgy

In zinc smelting, sulfuric acid plays a central role in metallurgical processing. Sulfidic ores are oxidized in roasters at temperatures between 500 and 1,100 °C under controlled oxygen supply. The resulting sulfur dioxide is converted into sulfur trioxide via the contact process and subsequently into highly concentrated sulfuric acid. This acid is then used to further leach the roasted ore or is applied in downstream chemical processes.

The G-Flo series eccentric disc pump is now capable of handling fluids at temperatures as high as 160 °C (320 °F). The G-Flo features a seal-less design that delivers high suction vacuum and high air compression on discharge, allowing it to self-prime and maximize product recovery. Its adjustable tangential inlet ports optimize fluid flow, while an advanced piston-locking mechanism streamlines maintenance without specialized tools. It handles viscous fluids up to 10,000 cP and soft solids up to 20 mm. It delivers flow rates up to 50 m³/h (220 gpm) and maximum pressures of 10 bar (145 psi). Additionally, the G-Flo Series remains fully compliant with CE, Atex and TA Luft standards.

Mouvex, part of PSG, and manufacturer of positive displacement pumps, announced its 120-year anniversary in 2026. Headquartered in Auxerre, France, Mouvex was founded in 1906 by engineer André Petit. He invented an entirely new solution: the eccentric disc pump, a design that would become the foundation of the company’s legacy.
