Meet the women behind our coffee. ☕️🇧🇴
Ann-Kathrin and Jharka are the coffee experts behind BOLIVIANA — two baristas connected by a shared passion for specialty coffee and, most importantly, by Bolivia.
Ann-Kathrin is the founder of Caraya Coffee, a Berlin-based specialty coffee roastery dedicated to bringing exceptional Bolivian coffee from farm to cup. After living in Bolivia and discovering the incredible potential of its coffee, she began building direct relationships with producers and bringing their coffees to Germany.
Jharka brings that story even closer to its roots. She is a Bolivian SCA-certified barista, and her family runs Finca Monte Cielo, a women-led coffee farm in the Yungas of La Paz. At around 1,650 metres above sea level, the finca sits in the unique transition between the Andes and the Amazon — a landscape of altitude, humidity and extraordinary biodiversity.
What makes their story special is that this is more than coffee for them.
It’s people, origin, knowledge and connection — from the farm in Bolivia to the cup here in Berlin.
And this is exactly what we want BOLIVIANA to be about. ❤️
