The bao 包 has been around for almost 2,000 years - and it hasn’t gone out of style once.

Legend traces it back to a general who needed an offering and steamed buns instead. Whatever really happened, the bao spread across China and beyond, changing its filling and fold along the way, but never its purpose: it’s food made to be shared, steamed in batches and passed around the table.

That’s the tradition we carry on. On our menu you’ll find Baozi 包子 with Spicy Beef or Zucchini & Carrot 🌱, and if you just want that soft, airy bun on its own, the plain Gua Bao is there for you too.

The people have spoken - and they want dumplings.

A few of you have been asking when the next dumpling class is happening, and it made our day. We’ve been laying low over the summer, but making dumplings together is what this club is all about - hands in the dough, someone’s pleats falling apart, everyone eating their creations at the end anyway.

So yes, we’re working on new dates right now.

Some fries get ketchup. Ours get a full ceremony.

Crispy golden fries, dusted with Sichuan pepper and chili, finished with our spicy Sichuan mayo and a squeeze of fresh lime - numbing, fiery, and honestly a little addictive. Yes, we spilled a little dramatically.

The Har Gao 蝦餃

One of the most iconic dim sum classics - and the one every chef is quietly judged by. The skin has to be thin enough to see the filling through it, soft enough to hold together, firm enough not to fall apart when you pick it up. No shortcuts, no compromise.

Ours is filled with plump shrimp and tender pork belly, folded by hand. It’s our biggest pride, and we mean that.

Dumpling making is one of the most cherished traditions in Chinese culture, something families and friends have done together for generations. Our teachers Candice and Xiaowu grew up surrounded by this craft, and they’ll guide you through the whole process, from dough to filling to fold. At the end, everyone sits down to enjoy the dumplings you made together.

Two fillings, one meat and one vegan, all ingredients included. Chinese tea on the house.
