Today’s team pick: Zappa e P**a Frappato from Agricola VINB

The w**e is surprisingly light (11% abv) for a southern region like Sicily. It drinks like a really good Pinot Noir, just with a slightly warmer aromatic profile: dried red fruit with a touch of leather and violets. Truly a testament for how great Frappato can be as a variety, and it is in a beautiful drinking window right now!

This orange sparkling, that comes from the hills of Bologna in Emilia Romagna (Italy) is made from local grape Pignoletto.

We love to champion local varietals and lesser known regions as we believe they tell a unique story of a place and the people who have taken care of the vines and turned their fruit into delicious w**es, just like this one.
