Well it was a long day starting at 3am
and getting home at 9pm but the happy faces, compliments and appreciation of the Dernau Village people was more than worth the effort!
Danke on Luca, John and Sabbine Sheppard who put in long hours also and made the event such a success!
Danke Sara Dhem for the fantastic and generous wurst donation which the villagers
loved!
Norbert Meyer Fish Meyer who’s smoked salmon was FANTASTIC and much loved!
Heiner who donated his valuable
time and a personal generous € donation that moved some of the villagers to tears for the generousity of those out there willing to support!
Rötemeyer Edeke for the fantastic donation and support!
Stefan Dummeyer and his delicous blueberries!
Naturally the team at the event got the feel of love and appreciation from the village who have had a little sunshine and good
food after 8weeks of permanent stress and uncertainty!
Planning to go again in a couple of weeks and do another food high light for the amazing people down in Dernau!

Well off to Dernau tonight to make Reibekuchen (Potato Fritters) it is always amazing to see the generosity of great people one learns to love and appreciate because they are who they are and total lovable….
Horst And Connie who always support me in my endeavors without question they do as the Nike man says ! Just do it!
Sabbine Gabe from Edeke Rötemeier who also gets it done and supports wonderfully and with little information know exactly what I need and gets it sorted! You are the best….
The team at Rötemeier that put up with the crazy question and wishlist and get it organised and packed where it is a pleasure to work with profi’s!
Stefan Dummeier with his generous heart and full support they will love your blueberries!
Hof Weiting who delivered 100kg of superb German potatos..
To Deole and Astrid who spent the entire week making apple mouse love you both dearly!

Well down in the Flood Gebeit „Dernau“ small village hit hard by the flood with at least 90% of the housing damaged or lost! It was on one side like a war zone no water,toilets or kitchens basic infrastructure washed away…everything was organized central and communal! The devastation was heart breaking but the humor, curtesy and the hand in hand help of the
people amazing and filled with hope was something the Germans can be damn proud of RESPECT ✊! I will be making regular runs down to help where I can as time and muscle is something I can donate freely and willingly and they need all the help they can to get that area back to the VERY basics and with Autumn on the way and Winter knocking at the door they need support and not to be forgotten because the news doesn’t cover this anymore!
My next tour is MITTWOCH 8th September as the locals dreamed of Rieberküchen (potato fritters) I have organised a few friends to come down and cook what they love! Thanks to Sabine and John from Edelrauch, Micheal Suhr from Michi’s BBQ, Fabian Beck, Deole ( the apple Mousse Queen who will be cook glasses of apple mouse like Grandma and putting that delicous mousse into Weck Glasses for
me) as I want that taste of home and comfort only hand made can do! Norbert from Fisch Meyer Hameln donating smoked Salmon! Familie Rötemeier from Edeke who always support my wild ideas! My wonderful familie who also always support my ideas but this one means they will be peeling potatoes for an entire weekend …happy happy joy joy….

Well last year I had three peppercorns on my vine and this year the harvest increased the smell is amazing I look forward to trying and using my home grown pepper!

To the wonderful industry out there that sells you an environmentally friendly products full of promise and you are fine paying €70 for a light if it saves energy, is environmentally friendly and last a long time......it held about three years which is not bad but now I have to buy a totally new unit and throw this actually in very good condition unit in the rubbish because that is how the industry wants it explains the shop Assistent as I try finding a repairable product! They are all so good with their flash advertising over energy saving, save the planet slogans but I am sorry team this is far from saving the planet yes I have saved energy agreed from standard lighting to led! But have to throw this thing in the rubbish makes me annoyed at your business style it is smart for your profit line but as always the company makes money as the resources it uses dwindle ...I hate that....lost my respect sorry and your integrity in my eyes! 👎

Well a great hunt yesterday then naturally the day after you have to clean and prepare the birds so after spending close to 5 hours cleaning Wild ducks and Pheasants its business time and who better than one of my all time favorite Breweries for his creative works of art not just their Beer tastes fantastic they have fantastic design skills a pure pleasure to drink and also to look at thankyou Frau Gruber Brewing simply KAKATO!
