Light gold in the glass.
The nose is a springtime triumph, fragrant flowers (lime, calico) spread over a surprisingly vinous bed, with a slight metallic note that suffuses notes of unripe pear and banana, lychees, a touch of vanilla and a few drops of lemon. Delicate but firm.
Full-bodied on the palate, with the alcohol sizzling on the tongue with white pepper and a hint of ginger, underlining the vegetal soul that opens up to sweeter tones but always with a certain sharpness, turning towards citrus (tangerines and more lemon), with a vein of almonds and a hint of bitterness that cleans the mouth at every sip.
The finish is of medium length, rather dry, with almonds, citrus, a light saline hint and a bitter streak.
Very fresh, young, vital, a whisky that doesn’t lack a few edges but offers a fun and not obvious drink, without following easy paths of jocularity and that knows how to entertain and accompany between one dram and another. ’s review.

Milano Whisky Company 🥃Longmorn 8 Nose:

A pleasant amalgam of yellow peach and apples, alongside a vivid fragrance of cereals in the declination of wholemeal bread and puffed rice. The sweetness that remembers delicate vanilla and light chantilly cream, at the same time, butter emerges and progressively blends with cereals and biscuits. After a few minutes, powdered sugar turns into cotton candy, In the background, it is possible to smell fresh wood. We are appreciating that despite its young age and alcohol content, there is no pungent alcoholic note

Palate:

Intense cereals combined with the fruity notes already present in the olfactory area, underlining the presence on apple but without neglecting a pleasant apricot. Wood is more present, but not invasive. Quite spicy, with cloves, vanilla and cinnamon. At the same time, a discreet sweetness deriving from a note of honey and a caramelized butter, as well as a hint of almond sugared almond.

Final:

Medium and mainly grafted on sweet fruit but also on a lump of residual sugar. .

E con oggi si chiude questa parentesi di festività, in bilico tra sfumature di rosso e normalità. L'importante che i colori che vi hanno accompagnato in questi giorni siano quelli dei distillati che avete gustato, magari in compagnia di (pochi) buoni amici o parenti. 🤙🤙

A friend gave me this bottle ,found somewhere.
I know the Bell's name but ,honestly, i've never drank it before, so i googolized , discovering that Bell's blend is made up of Blair Athol(main), Inchgower, Glenkinchie and Dufftown, and this 5yo was bottled around the 70's. Looks interesting...
The liquid level was still perfect so i decided to give it a try. Why not?
Despite being a young blend it's smooth enough.
Bitter notes(i love them) of rhubarb and licorice at the beginning , then comes the wax , butter, nuts, and something like old leather, old books...
Interesting palate, medium body, old style sensations. Unfortunately the finale is short, a little bit woody.
Conclusion: it's a pleasant daily dram. Better than a lot of blends actually on the market!
