Christie Dietz is an award-winning food and travel writer from London who moved to Germany in 2010. Her writing focuses on regional, seasonal German food and drink and culinary travel; her website, A Sausage Has Two is the only Germany-based, English-language blog to do so. Christie is also behind the fortnightly newsletter Germany Travel Picks, in which she shares inspiration for destination and

hotels, travel news, the heads up on events and exhibitions, and personal recommendations from locals - all with a focus on travelling sustainably and responsibly. Christie is a regular contributor to National Geographic Traveller and Traveller Food magazines and has also written for publications including Food and Travel, The Spruce Eats, The Guardian, EATEN and various in-flight magazines. She has updated chapters in two editions of Fodor's Germany guide book and contributed to Europe’s Best Bakeries by Sarah Guy (September Publishing, 2019). Christie has also been featured in German news publications including Die Welt, Sterne magazine and Das Bild. She's the International Coordinator for the Guild of Food Writers, was shortlisted for The YBF's food writing award in 2016, and won the IACP‘s culinary travel writing award in 2019 for a feature in National Geographic Traveller (UK) on Germany‘s love of white asparagus.
