Grandbois Weine Tanja 🇩🇪 & Philippe 🇨🇦: Crafting low-intervention, certified organic wine🍷in the Mosel Valley.

Wir sind 2018 ins Moseltal gezogen und haben uns in Maring-Noviand niedergelassen, unserem Traumdorf, um unsere Familie und unsere Weine aufzuziehen. Unsere erste Weinlese an der Mosel war 2021, nachdem wir seit unserer Ankunft mit den Winzern der Region zusammengearbeitet hatten. Tanja Grandbois begann ihre Karriere als Konditorin in Michelin-Sternerestaurants im Schwarzwald und fand sich dann in

den Bio-Weinbergen von West Kelowna, British Columbia wieder, wo sie Philippe kennenlernte. Tanja begann ihre deutsche Weinkarriere in den Kellern von Dr. Loosen und arbeitet nun in den Bereichen Gastfreundschaft und Export dieses Unternehmens. Philippe begann seine Karriere als Sommelier und Barkeeper, bevor er für Marriott International Restaurants und Bars auf der ganzen Welt eröffnete. Philippes Weinkarriere begann im australischen Barossa Valley, bevor er in die neuseeländischen Waipara-Hügel zog, dann nach Dijon im Burgund und schließlich zurück ins kanadische Okanagan Valley, wo er Tanja kennenlernte.

A healthy vineyard is never quiet.

Spring is officially clocking in on the Moselle! The sun is finally hitting the slate, and our resident Eidechsen (wall lizards) are coming out of hibernation to claim the best rocks.

These little guys are basically solar-powered—they use the hot slate stones to wake up their metabolism so they can get back to their real job: hunting bugs and generally being photogenic. 🦎🌞

You won't find them in a quiet, sterile vineyard sprayed with chemicals. They only hang out where the dirt is actually alive. We prefer the weeds, the bugs, and the reptiles anyway.
Honest wine doesn't come from dead dirt; it comes from a loud, crawling, living piece of land. Welcome back to the sun.
