What a sunny day yesterday and thanks .de for hosting this beautiful Fair. Whisky will always be my passion but there were plenty of cognac and Armagnac that really made me smile yesterday. The whole fair felt like family time so thanks to everyone for making it special yesterday. Will come again for sure!

Last June we have been invited by together with to London. The mission was to select some casks out of the rich portfolio of Berry Bros and bottle them under the label „German retailer’s choice“ - we have had more than 20 Cask samples and were very much impressed by the quality offered.
The choice was not easy but we have selected 4 casks - Customer Feedbacks and also the ratings on WB proof that our tastebuds were good on that sunny day in June.
From left to right:
1. Tobermory 15y which matured in a combination of Merlot Red Wine and Madeira Cask (we have been told that it was a 50/50 cask) - absolutely outstanding quality! WID:241519 89,00 (based on 6 ratings)
2. Strathmill 17y which matured in a Muscat Cask - This was even our favorite cask on the day and we were very much surprised by the complexity and richness of this dram. It tastes much older than 17y! WID:243791 90,33 (3)
3. Benrinnes 12y PX - perfect Christmas dram or Sherry Bomb - no-brainer for Sherry-hunters! WID:243792 89,25 (4)
4. Orkney 25y - well Highland Park 25y old and then below 200€ - taste-wise also brilliant therefore it was not about to get the cask it was more about how huge can our share be on that cask. WID:241450 89,43 (10)

Perfect weather for cutting some trees, hunting wolves and sipping some Balvenie (or however you might call these Blended Malts from „Burnside“)
Cannot wait for summer, meanwhile enjoying the first warm sunbeams - who else is a Balvenie lover?
I love the Boutique and East Village Release a lot - especially the Bourbon Cask matured Balvenies above 20y are fantastic.

There are official Caperdonich releases today, but they're not really promoted and I get the impression that everyone is a bit indifferent to them, which is quite a pity. It has been a while since we posted something. Our 5th anniversary and its bottles were very stressful but thanks so much for your support on these bottles. We are almost sold out on all of them 🥰

Now coming to which we offer since a few months and really love their choice of casks. Unfortunately all of these 5 are sold out in the meantime but we were lucky enough to secure a bottle for us 😄🥃

88 Points for our Glenallachie 15y PX Cask from WhiskyNotes.be which is a very good result for us. When you review the Glenallachie reviews of Ruben in the last 5 years you could say that it is not his favorite distillery because not a single malt has reached 90 points so far. ;-) Indeed the 88 points is the second best Glenallachie rated ever! (behind famous Cask 901042 for the UK which reached 89 points in his review in November 2021)
Thank you Kirsch Import - House of Spirits who made it possible to get such a beautiful cask especially for our 5th Anniversary. After all this good news the bad news is that 80% of the cask is already sold therefore get your chance of a bottle now before it is too late.
