Eine Besonderheit unseres Weinguts: Wir bewirtschaften sowohl Lagen im Anbaugebiet Rheinhessen als auch an der Nahe. Die VDP.GROSSE LAGE KIRCHBERG in Bingen liegt in Rheinhessen.
Oberhalb thront die Rochuskapelle. Der Binger Kirchberg wurde erstmals 1726 erwähnt und erhielt seinen Namen vermutlich durch den Blick auf die Kempter Dreikönigskirche. Der lehmige Lössboden mit hohem Steinanteil ist kalkreich, der eisenoxidhaltige Quarzit färbt ihn stellenweise rötlich und verleiht den Weinen eine markante Feuersteinmineralik.

Riesling trocken 2014
Wie alle unsere VDP.GROSSEN GEWÄCHSE durfte auch dieser Wein mindestens 10 Jahre reifen.
In der Nase zeigen sich reife Mirabelle, feiner Kokos und zarte Rosenblüte. Am Gaumen wirkt er opulent und zugleich präzise, mit cremigem Schmelz, eleganter Struktur und langem Nachhall. Ein Wein mit viel Tiefe, Finesse und Balance.

A distinctive feature of our winery is that we cultivate vineyards in both the Rheinhessen and Nahe wine-growing regions. The VDP.GROSSE LAGE KIRCHBERG in Bingen is located in Rheinhessen.
The Rochus Chapel towers above it. The Binger Kirchberg was first mentioned in 1726 and probably got its name from the view of the Dreikönigskirche in Kempten. The loamy loess soil, with a high proportion of stones, is rich in lime; the iron-oxide-containing quartzite gives it a reddish hue in places and lends the wines a distinctive flinty minerality.

Like all our VDP.GROSSES GEWÄCHSE wines, this one has also been allowed to mature for at least 10 years – because great wines take time.
On the nose, it reveals ripe Mirabelle plums, subtle coconut and delicate rose petals. On the palate, it is opulent yet precise, with a creamy texture, elegant structure and a long finish. A wine with great depth, finesse and balance.
