Wein und Mut hosts Italian Night 🍋

Last summer we had a beautiful evening on the Mosel…unforgettable views, food, wine, and friendship. Many have asked if there will be another Italian Night this summer….

Yes! On June 19, Claudia and Toni will be sharing an Italian evening full of food, wine, music, hiking and beautiful Mosel views.

We will begin at 5:30 PM at the Burghof Hagen, home of Wein and Mut, a historical house that dates back to the 1400s. We will take a short hike through the vineyards to enjoy views of the Mosel while sipping on a nice cold Summer Secco with Limoncello and Mint.

Around 7:00 PM we will be back to the Burghof for a cosy Italian summernight in the courtyard. A variety of Italian food will be served with bottles of wine and secco. Grape juice and water will also be included.

The cost for the evening including the hike, Secco, wine, and the Italian menu will be 60 Euro/person.

Everyone is welcome, English and German will be spoken.

Payment is asked for ahead of time to reserve a spot. Of course if something comes up and you’re not able to attend you can transfer your reserved spot to someone else.

A little event with a lot of heart. This is one of those events where you really see the support of the community. Neighbors, friends, and other winemakers in the village all come by to celebrate Weingut Ernst Steffens. But, it’s not just for the locals, everyone is welcome. Tables will be set up right on the river banks so you can enjoy some great food and wine while taking in beautiful Mosel views.
Come by this weekend (May 29-31) from 10:00-10:00 each day.

Walk Around the Marienburg - Pfingst-Wein-Wanderung

This 10 km wine hike around the Marienburg starts at 10:00 AM on Sunday, May 24.

Hike through the forest and vineyards to admire the panoramic views from the Marienburg and the Prinzenkopf viewing tower. From here you can see the Mosel from three different angles, the Bullay Double-decker Bridge, as well as the railway with the longest hillside viaduct in Germany. Of course at each of the stations along the way you can also enjoy the delicious food and wine.

You can park and start the hike in Alf, Zell-Kaimt, or Reil.

Stay for the after party! Music, food, wine and great times will start at 5:00 PM at the base of the Marienburg.

Little Historical Fact: The ground of where the Marienburg is located was once a castle more than a 1000 years ago. It became an Augustinian monastery and then later a fortification. Today it’s used as a youth education center and hosts conferences.

Big Bottle Night - Pünderich

Big Bottle Night is set on the Mosel river banks in Pünderich with views of the Marienburg and surrounding vineyards.

Starting at 5:00 PM on Saturday, May 23 get ready for live music, dancing, food and BIG bottles of wine. All the bottles of wine you can purchase are 1.5 liters (yes, that’s the size of two normal bottles of wine)!!

You can drink your wine at one of the many tables set up or if you want to enjoy your wine and the views with not so many people around, you can stroll down to a bench next to the river. Either way it will be a fun time with great wine!
