Which Zalto should you start with?

Universal, if you drink a bit of everything. Bordeaux, if your cupboard leans toward full-bodied reds. Burgundy, if you've fallen for Pinot Noir. Weissewein, if white is what you pour most.

Most people start with Universal and build from there. We stock all of them.

Zalto Denk'Art is mouth-blown in Neunagelberg, Austria, by glassblowers whose families have been doing the same work for generations. The stem is so thin it disappears between your fingers - and that's the whole point. Nothing should sit between you and the wine.

We get that one a lot. The short answer: pour the same wine into a Zalto and into an ordinary glass, side by side. Nobody needs to explain the difference to you afterwards.

The long answer is in the thinness. The rim on a Zalto is so fine that the wine reaches your tongue without a detour.
