Autumn has officially hit us all 🍁🍂
So this week we’ll be pouring some fall appropriate wines btg

All bangers as usual ofc

Starting from the right

LIRAC, DOMAINE MATHALIS (Rhone valley)
100% Grenache noir
6 weeks on old oak on fine lees
Structured but round, cherries with hints of dried herbs and slight leather notes

SUR LA CRETE, COLLINE DE L’HIRONDELLE (Languedoc)
Grenache noir and Mourvedre
Medium bodied red. Elegant with bright red fruits and subtle floral tones.

QUAAAQ QUAAAQ, DUCKMAN (Bairrada)
Bical, Cerceal, Maria gomes and Sercialinho
Ultra light and easy white. Cucumber, lemon and er fresh herby finish
Unfiltered and fun

MACCHIA, DOMAINE MATHALIS (Rhône valley)
Roussanne and Viognier
Aged in stainless trail on fine lees
Full mouthfeel, slightly grassy, clean with a classic Rhone valley aromatic finish

ROSA DUCK, DUCKMAN (Bairrada)
100% Baga
A Pet-nat with high acidity and notes of raspberry and strawberry

Yay weekend! 💃🏻
We made it, y’all. Brave the rain and come celebrate the end of another work week, here’s what we’re pouring by the glass:

🦆 Duckman - 2024 White Duck (Bairrada, Portugal)
- Back again! Cool regional grape called Bical, giving fresh and delicate yellow fruits, a touch of coastal herbs and a crisp finish.

🍋 Lagravera - 2025 Onra Blanco (Catalonia, Spain)
- Always on, always delicious, and always ready to make new converts. Granatxa Blanca with a splash of Sauvignon to brighten the corners. Yuuuum!

🫐 Domaine De Mathalis - 2025 33 Tours (Rhône, France)
- Like juicy reds that put the tannins in the back seat, while still presenting depth and structure? Get this one in your glass. Grenache & Mourvèdre carbonic style, with plenty of juicy dark fruits.

🌹Duckman - 2025 Rosa Duck Pet-Nat (Bairrada, Portugal)
- 100% Baga with some time on the skins, enough to give it its gorgeous pink hue. Fun time bubbles with juicy berry tones up front and a bone-dry, quenching finish.

🍒Lagravera - 2021 Natural Tinto (Catalonia, Spain)
- Bright, lively tannins and a gentle acidic drive balance this zero/zero Grenache (with a few other friends in the mix). Deep dark fruits and a touch of spice, complex without being heavy-handed.

🍇 Danish wine. Yep, it’s a thing. And it’s getting pretty exciting. 🇩🇰

We’re spoiled in Denmark, with some of Europe’s greatest wine regions just a hop, skip and a border crossing away. But what happens when we look a little closer to home?

As the climate warms and a few brave grape-growing mavericks experiment with what thrives on Danish soil, the impossible is becoming increasingly possible. And we’re here for it. 🍷

For this special tasting, we’re bringing together two of our favourite local producers at the forefront of Danish wine: BAS Bas Winery from Møn and Lindely Lindely Vingård from Kolding.

Jørgen and Andreas will guide us through the glasses, sharing their take on where Danish natural wine is now — and where it’s heading next. Expect good wine, curious grapes, sustainable thinking and plenty of reasons to rethink what “local wine” can be.

And of course, there’ll be snacks to keep those taste buds happy. 🧀🍇

- Our favorite light red strawberry bomb! Juicy juice juice. Grenache & Syrah, carbonic maceration

🦆 Duckman - Ducking 2024 Pet-Nat (Bairrada, Portugal)
- Fresh, crisp, fruity, orange-y fizz from Maria the Duckman! Hyper-local grape Sercialinho

🍒 Agri Segretum - Freghino 2024 (Umbria, Italy)
- Classic Italian table red, and another big fav in this house. Deep cherry, smooth tannins, snack-friendly. Sangiovese, Colorino & Malvasia Neta

Truth be told, as much as we love getting new wines in, you won’t find us more “kid-in-a-candy-store” happy than when a new shipment of beers from Newcastle’s Donzoko Brewery and Taproom lands in our shop! 🍬 Come try these bangers, to stay or to go, while they last – just give us about an hour to cool them down in the fridge 😋

It’s still summer! It’s still festival season!

VOYAGE BLANC - Domaine La Rune - Corbières, France
A Blanc de noirs petnat made from grenache
Fun notes of pear, earl grey tea with a refreshing acidity

WUNJO - Domaine La Rune - Corbières, France
Expect a soft easy red on cinsault, that still packs a ton of berries. Notes of black berries and blue berries with the softest silkiest tannins

NERD DUCK - Duckman - Bairrada, Portugal
Our newest import in the shop. A red wine made mainly on white grapes. So 95% Maria Gomes and 5% Baga skins
Sour cherries and raspberry with a lovely dry finish.
