Iskilde The water in ISKILDE stems from an aquifer more than 50 meters below the surface.

The taste of the water derives from the minerals and organic particles it contains. The hills of the lake highland are made up of sediments from the ice ages, and these sediments contain finely grounded minerals from all over the Scandinavian peninsula, packed in layers of almost impenetrable layers of clay, and porous layers of quartz sand. The groundwater absorbs minerals from all these deposits

, ending up with a fairly high content of minerals – many of which are present in very low concentrations. The water of ISKILDE is slightly alkaline, which is what you experience as a slightly sweet taste. Based on its content of calcium and other ions the water is fairly hard, but due to the fine bubbles of the oxygen you will experience the mouth-feel of the water as very soft and silky.
