Saturday was a very busy day catering for a wedding party of 40 people. A light lunch was delivered for 12:30, and then we were back later for the dinner service.

Lunch:
Montaditos - prawn and romesco; chistorra, pimiento padrón, queso oveja, cream cheese
Melon, serrano, mozzarella banderillas
Gilda pintxos
Pan con tomate
Olives

Dinner:
Blue fin tuna tartare
Chipirones fritos
Gambas pil pil
Bacon, chorizo, cheese croquetas
Tomato and avocado salad
Braised pork cheeks
Patatas Bravas
Pimientos Padrón
Green salad with apple

Dessert (no photo, as this was very kindly served for us by Christianne Bishop ):
Churros with chocolate fudge sauce and ice cream

We're having a very chilled Sunday by the pool after finishing a big week of cooking. 6 days cooking lunch and dinner for 21 people. Shattered but happy!

Back at El Cortijo, Palacio de Cantalobos this morning, to cook brunch.

The children had waffles with lots of different toppings. The adults had my eggs benedict bake with homemade hollandaise, roasted cherry tomatoes, and a selection of Spanish sausages. There was lots of fresh fruit and berries, plus freshly baked mini pastries for everyone.

An intimate private dining experience tonight, at the stunning El Cortijo within the Palacio de Cantalobos estate.

The children had homemade barbecued cheeseburgers and fries, with homemade strawberry and vanilla ice cream.

The adults had:

•Charcuterie and cheese board

•Caramelised goat's cheese tostada, onion marmalade, dried fruits and walnuts, raspberry vinegar

•Baked rosada, romesco sauce, olive dressing, lemon roasted asparagus, hasselback potatoes

•Crema Catalana

The wines served were all from the local vineyard of Calvente.
