Iniciamos la vendía 2026 y la empezamos con un texto de nuestro padre, Juanje:

“Despacio despierta el cielo,
con pinceladas de fuego,
el rugir de los tractores

Hello, wine lovers! Our Familia Valdelana Gran Reserva has just won a Gold Medal at AWC Vienna 2026 🥇

At this competition, all wines are tasted blind (without knowing the brand or producer) to ensure maximum objectivity. The jury is also made up of more than 300 international experts (winemakers, sommeliers, wine journalists, and other wine professionals) from more than 20 countries.

Some wines need years of patience to reach their full potential, and Familia Valdelana Gran Reserva is one of those wines. A tribute to time.

En este concurso las muestras se catan a ciegas (sin conocer la marca ni el productor) para garantizar la máxima objetividad. Además, el jurado está formado por más de 300 expertos internacionales (enólogos, sumilleres, periodistas del mundo del vino…) procedentes de más de 20 países.

Hay vinos que necesitan años de paciencia para alcanzar su calidad máxima y el Familia Valdelana Gran Reserva es uno de esos vinos. Un homenaje al tiempo.

Wine lovers, our favorite time of year has come early… very early!

When we were little, the harvest started around the Pilar holiday, in mid-October… and this year we’re already ready at the end of August! 🍇✂️🫢

The dates may change, but the excitement remains the same. Now come the early mornings, the hard work, and those very special days that remind us why we love the countryside so much.

Wine lovers, there’s nothing better than having a chat with Grandpa while enjoying wine the way he likes it best 🍷

Having Grandpa close to us is a real blessing. At almost 90 years old, he has lived through all kinds of experiences and stories, and honestly, the stories he tells transport you back to a time when things changed so much in such a short time.

This year, the harvest has come early, and in just a few days we’ll start picking the grapes. It’s August, and the village is already filled with the spirit of the harvest. Who would have thought it? When we were little, the harvest took place around the Pilar holiday weekend… Happy harvest to everyone! 🍇

Tener cerca al abuelo para nosotros es una suerte, con casi 90 años ha vivido todo tipo de experiencias y vivencias y la verdad que cuenta unas historias que te transportan a lo que han cambiado las cosas en tan poco tiempo.

Este año se ha adelantado la vendimia y ya en unos días empezaremos a recoger las uvas. Es agosto y el pueblo ya se ha teñido de vendimia, quien nos lo iba a decir si cuando éramos txikis, se vendimiaba en el puente del Pilar… Feliz vendimia a todos! 🍇

Se nos ha quedado grabada una maravillosa imagen del Eclipse que nos acompañará siempre.

Pero lo que realmente nos emocionó fue ese sentimiento de estar viviendo algo tan extraordinario con personas increíbles 🥂

¡Todavía no nos lo creemos! Con seis premios, hemos sido la bodega más galardonada en la fiesta de la Vendimia de Rioja Alavesa, el concurso de vinos más prestigioso de la Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja 🏆.

Entre los 176 vinos presentados a esta edición, seis de los nuestros se han llevado premio: medallas de oro para Familia Valdelana Reserva , Finca La Medika y Finca La Pared de los Curas, plata para Finca Santa Cruz de Valdelana y Finca Tronco Negro y medalla de bronce para Finca Senda Las Damas. Y detrás de todos el mismo artífice, Juan Valdelana, uno de los enólogos con más presente y futuro de esta tierra 🍇.

El prestigio de este concurso no solo se debe a su larga historia, más de treinta ediciones, sino también a que se hace mediante una cata a ciegas, por lo que el jurado no sabe la marca, ni la etiqueta del vino que está catando y valora únicamente la calidad del producto 🕶️.
