With all the wildfires in Spain, you need to take prevention. Yesterday there was another tragic forest fire not too far from us, in Pinos del Valle. Early this morning we created a fire gate around the house. We watered all the land before Kristian cleaned it with the tractor. I was walking behind continuing watering, in case of any sparks. The wild oat growing around the farm is really beautiful and it doesn’t look that pretty here now. But it feels much safer.

The heat is on! Luckily, here in the mountains we don’t get the extremely high temperatures. Also, there is a breeze. Not exactly cold, but the air moves.
Being off grid means we can run all the fans in the house without worrying about the electricity bill. Sitting with a GT in the shade of the terrace and enjoying the summer. ☀️😎
