This spring has been all about w**d control! Nice to see some work in progress. Here you can see the different phases of mechanical w**d control on one of our vineyards. First we roll the soil away from the vines in early spring with a moldboard plough. This promotes deep rooting during the root growth phase in early spring.l and removes the w**ds around the vines trunk. Then we pass with a plough to integrate the w**d crop into the soil, reduce the competition and promote the decomposition of the cover crop. Lastly we will pass with a chisel plough after the harvest to throw soil back over the vine for winter.
