Am I a little obsessed with this woman? Absolutely.

She’s cool, confident, wildly talented & about as authentic as they come.

Meet Aurora, our private Venenciadora last Saturday. She taught us just how incredibly difficult, but fun, this age old tradition actually is.

Thanks to the lenend herself & for hosting us 🙏

THE WINEMAKER SERIES ft. Germán R. Blanco

Germán R. Blanco — a w**emaker who breaks his own region’s rules three times over. Lighter reds in a Ribera del Duero, a region built around power. Concrete eggs & tanks instead of oak in Rioja. And in Bierzo, a quiet fight to save the region’s oldest, highest vineyards.

“The true beauty of w**es with soul lies in the sum of their imperfections. The light has always come in through the cracks.”

Join us as we taste through all three projects.

Do you order locally made w**e when you travel, or just order your go to?

I go local, whenever possible. Not because I know exactly what I’m getting, but because I don’t.

Three bottles from a recent trip, all from the same region, all completely different from each other.

Easy to stick with what you already recognise. But the best w**e I’ve found has come from asking what small producers nearby are actually making, which is often not what the region’s famous for.

Skip the w**e you already know.

September 1st. I’m back. 🍾

August is a thing in Málaga. It’s hot, it’s peak holiday season, and traditionally it’s the month when locals take their holidays and businesses slow things down a little. So I decided to lean into it and take the whole month off.

There may have been some poolside w**e involved. Obviously.

This little bottle is one of my new arrivals — and after a month of rigorous pool-based research, I can confirm it’s very good indeed. 🥂

Now back to work, back to w**e and back to finding you some really good bottles.

Hello September. ❤️

My favourite kind of client order is a request for a number of bottles, a budget, a vague wish list and a lot of trust.

Not exactly sure what you want? Let me pick for you. Or even better, join the vine club for a monthly case of w**e joy!

If you don’t have a bottle of amontillado the size of a lions head, I’m not interested…

Yesterday at Michelin Guide-listed La Carbona in Jerez, six courses were paired with six w**es from Jerez — and it was a pretty brilliant demonstration of exactly why Sherry deserves to be thought of as a w**e for the whole meal, not just an aperitif.

We started with Mosto, then moved through Fino, Amontillado, Palo Cortado and Oloroso, each bringing something completely different to the food.

And this, rather conveniently, is exactly the message the Consejo Regulador is pushing at the moment: Sherry isn’t just the drink you have before dinner. It’s a family of w**es with the versatility to work across an entire meal.

Six courses, six pairings, and not once did it feel like the w**e was playing second fiddle to the food.

If anything, it was the opposite.

Jerez has been doing this for centuries. Perhaps we’re finally getting better at listening.

This is what being part of our w**e club really looks like…

This year’s passion fruit over-abundance went out to our members, and in return we’ve been gifted pears, figs, and today this beautiful olive oil from a client’s own plot up in Sayalonga.

It’s a community built on more than w**e — it’s clients becoming family, one harvest at a time.
