Gnarly Vines was the very first place where Grulani was poured and sold in the U.S. — the starting point of our New York story. A place built on trust, curiosity, and shared values.

Even if we can’t be there in person tonight, our spirit is absolutely present. Moments like these remind us that Grulani has always grown through people, not borders.

Brian embodies that spirit better than anyone. He has walked our land, visited us, and carries our story with honesty and care in New York. He represents Grulani there in the most genuine way possible.

We’re deeply grateful to Brian and the entire Gnarly Vines team for being part of this journey from the very beginning and for continuing to make this space feel like our home in NY.

For us, a mezcal label is more than just a design—it’s a window into the soul of the spirit. It tells the story of our origins, the dedication of our maestros mezcaleros, and the artistry behind every sip. It serves as a guide, helping consumers understand the complexity of mezcal and honoring the rich cultural heritage of Oaxaca and Mexico.

At Grulani, our label is a proud reflection of our identity:

🌟 Rooted in Tradition: Inspired by Oaxaca’s pre-Hispanic and colonial history, our design pays homage to the Zapotec and Mexica traditions through contemporary reinterpretations of ancient symbols.
🌟 A Contemporary Vision: Our geometric patterns echo the architecture and artistry of Mexico’s past while embracing the sophisticated aesthetic of today.
🌟 Crafted Sustainably: Made from 100% organic paper, our labels are produced using the bagasse (agave fibers) left over from mezcal distillation.

These fibers are processed by artisans in San Agustín Etla, Oaxaca, into the textured paper that defines our look.
Every detail—from the artisanal screen-printing to the bold, modern compositions—represents a celebration of Mexico’s liquid culture and a tribute to the people behind it.
