Set amongst the vineyards, this beautifully restored Mallorcan mill has become one of our favourite places to host shared lunches and w**e experiences. Long tables, local flavours, incredible w**es and conversations.

For us, w**e has never just been about what’s in the glass. It’s about the setting, the people around the table and those moments that stay with you long after the final pour.

Mallorca gives us a lot to work with! 🍊🫒

When we're putting together a grazing table, we love filling it with the flavours you find here on the island. Local cheeses and cured meats, olives, almonds, fresh fruit and vegetables, crusty bread, tortilla and plenty of little bites to enjoy between glasses.

Wherever possible, we choose natural, locally sourced produce, letting what’s fresh and in season help shape the table.

The result is colourful, generous, slightly impossible to know where to start… and very Mallorca.

In our last “About Us” post, we shared where our journey began…

This is the chapter where everything really started to fall into place.

Looking back, it almost feels as though Olive & Vine was always meant to happen. We made the same career change at the same time, unknowingly committed to the same demanding qualification, and spent the next two years side by side as study partners, tasting companions, cheerleaders, and each other’s biggest supporters.

There were endless revision sessions, blind tastings, exams, plenty of discussions over w**e, and, of course, a few celebratory glasses along the way! 🥂

By the end of those two years, we had not only completed our Diploma in W**es, but realised just how much we enjoyed learning, tasting and sharing w**e together.

And then came the question we kept asking ourselves…

What’s next?

We knew we wanted to create something of our own, something that brought together our love of w**e, hospitality, travel and Mallorca.

We just didn’t quite know what that looked like yet…

And that’s where the idea for Olive & Vine began. 🍇

W**e of the Month🍷

This month we’re shining a spotlight on one of Mallorca’s most distinctive white w**es… Can Gelat Giró Ros. Can Gelat

Made from 100% Giró Ros, a rare grape variety found only in Mallorca, this organic w**e is beautifully expressive. Expect aromas of white stone fruit, juicy nectarine and a touch of Mediterranean spice, followed by a silky palate with refreshing salinity, subtle fennel notes and a long finish with hints of mandarin zest.

It’s a w**e that tells the story of the island in every glass and pairs wonderfully with fresh seafood, grilled fish or a leisurely lunch in the sunshine. ☀️

Step onto our Terrace ✨

Tucked into the Tramuntana mountains, overlooking vineyards in the Puigpunyent Valley, it’s wonderfully peaceful up here. A table set for a handful of guests, mountains stretching out in front of you, good food within reach and a line up of Mallorcan w**es ready to discover.

As the glasses fill and the conversation gets going, the rest of the world feels very far away.

This is our Tramuntana Terrace. One of our favourite places to share w**e, stories and a slower side of Mallorca. 🌿

Private tastings are available for groups of 2–12, with food pairings available too.

The Mediterranean does more than provide beautiful views.

For vineyards close to the coast, sea breezes help cool the vines during Mallorca’s hot summer days. This slows the ripening process, allowing the grapes to retain more of their natural acidity and freshness.

It’s one of the many reasons coastal w**es can feel so vibrant and refreshing in the glass.

Nature really is the best w**emaker. 🍇🌊

Regional Spotlight 🇵🇹🍷

Some w**e regions are beautiful.

The .valley is breathtaking.

As one of the world’s oldest demarcated w**e regions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, every terrace, stone wall and winding bend of the river tells the story of generations who transformed impossibly steep hillsides into vineyards by hand.

For around 2,000 years, grapes have been grown here, with the Douro River serving as the region’s original highway. Long before roads existed, traditional rabelo boats carried barrels downstream to Vila Nova de Gaia, where Ports are matured before being shipped across the globe.

Every glass of port begins it's journey amongst these remarkable terraces.

We were lucky enough to visit several incredible quintas across the valley, and it remains one of the most unforgettable w**e regions we’ve ever experienced. If it’s not already on your w**e travel bucket list, it absolutely should be.

Others impress you before you’ve even poured a glass.

At , the w**ery itself is part of the experience. Hidden almost entirely beneath the vineyards, the striking underground design blends seamlessly into the landscape, using the earth’s natural insulation to create ideal conditions for w**emaking while preserving the beauty of the surrounding countryside.

From the dramatic architecture to the peaceful views across the Tramuntana, every detail feels carefully considered.

We loved visiting this unique corner of Mallorca and discovering a w**ery where innovation, sustainability and a deep respect for the land come together beautifully. 🍷
