Alba-la-Romaine, Ardèche

Grégory Guillaume arrived in the Ardèche with a passion for exploring caves but found himself drawn to the world of w**emaking. In 2011, inspired by a friend he worked alongside, he decided to start making w**e on his own. Greg is an easygoing, down-to-earth w**emaker who crafts w**es simply because he enjoys drinking them. His approach to farming reflects a deep respect for nature, embracing its balance and harmony.

Today, Greg tends about three hectares of organically farmed vineyards near the picturesque villages of Villeneuve-de-Berg and Alba-la-Romaine. Planted on clay and limestone soils, his vines thrive in a landscape rich with biodiversity. The vitality of these vineyards is key to producing the pristine fruit essential for his style of w**emaking.

We welcome Òscar Navas back to the island. Oscar first began his journey at w**ery in Felanitx.
Inspired by his roots in Terra Alta in Villalba dels Arcs, he launched his own project in Batea. In 2017, using the cellar of friend to make, Òscar create his first vintage—a white w**e that captures the essence of this arid Mediterranean region. The hot days, fresh afternoon winds, and cool nights give his w**e its unique balance of concentration, acidity, and freshness. The region’s sandy ‘panal’ soil adds to the intense flavor of his small-batch grapes. 🍇🌞

New load of w**es from Domaine Mosse about to hit the webpage! If you don’t want to wait come and find them in our stand this weekend at MERRY MERCADO ❤️‍🔥

Created in 1999 by Agnès and René Mosse, the estate located in Saint-Lambert du Lattay, is made up of 15 hectares in the communes of Saint Lambert du Lattay, Beaulieu sur Layon and Savennières.

Today it is the turn of their sons Sylvestre and Joseph to continue the adventure.

The vines have been cultivated organically since 1999, the w**es are vinified with a minimum of intervention in the cellar, the fermentations are natural and the long aging takes place in barrels or tuns. The Mosse family mainly produces fine and complex Chenin white w**es on these beautiful schist terroirs.

Ploder Rosenberg a family project, in the Volcanic part Vulkenland, Styria 🇦🇹 converted into biodynamic treatments in 2005. Working on 11 hectares planted with 75% PIWI (fungus resistant varieties) as Souvignier Gris as protagonist.
Manuel Ploder 3rd Generation with partner Serling Weratschig took over in 2011, taking further steps pursuing low intervention w**emaking with help from parents.

“Good things take time” Manuel told us when we impatiently asked when the our w**es would arrive. As our excitement was peaked after first trying there sample’s.

The w**ery offers three different lines of w**es; Fundamental - focusing on a wider aspect of the range of different varieties grown on the estate, aged for 18 months before bottling.
Linea Line - which narrows it down to individual varieties, some w**es spend up to 3 years in 600l oak barrels on lees.
And finally the Archaic Line - inspired by the four Elements earth wind, water and Fire. Fermented and aged in Qveris or Amphora. These w**es are the Pinnacle of the Ploder Rosenberg Portfolio!

Yesterday we tasted some of the w**es from a collective project working alongside 17 producers from north to south of Alsace. All making there own w**e from there own respective vineyard’s/w**ery. Great w**es that are very exited to work with 🥂
