📢 The BIOBOX plant in Westham, UK, is now a reality! 👏👏👏
We are working to get it up and running as soon as possible following the positive results of our pilot project:

✔️ Over 93 % removal observed in all samples.
✔️ Turbidity < 0.12 NTU post ultrafiltration
✔️ No taste or odour detections
✔️ Nitrite < 0.004 mg/l (LOD) in all samples
✔️ No observed impact on pH​
✔️ Stable TOC levels, optimized through blending and dosing
✔️ THM levels within acceptable limits​
✔️ No pathogenic bacteria (E. coli, Enterococci, C. perfringens) detecte
✔️ Additional benefit of removal of pesticides from raw water

💧 Innovación y ciencia aplicada en las VIII Jornadas de Ingeniería del Agua celebradas en Zaragoza
➡️ Hemos tenido el honor de participar en estas jornadas presentando el póster “Hi2BiO: Producción de hidrógeno verde a partir de aguas residuales industriales”, uno de los 180 trabajos presentados.

🦠 Bajo el título “Hi2BIO: Valorización de aguas residuales industriales para la generación de hidrógeno biológico”, este proyecto, realizado en colaboración con Universidad de Zaragoza, explora de fermentación para generar hidrógeno verde a partir de efluentes industriales, transformando residuos en energía limpia.

🔬 Hi2BIO está enmarcado en los programas de ayuda a la cadena de valor innovadora del hidrógeno renovable en el marco del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia, financiados por la – Next GenerationEU.

💡 Desde el Centro de Desarrollo de , seguimos avanzando en la fase de optimización del proceso con nuevos biodigestores y sistemas de monitorización que permitirán llevar esta tecnología a escala real.

We’re celebrating! 👏👏👏 We’ve received approval for our BIOBOX Nitrates technology from the Maricopa County Environmental Services Department (MCESD) under the Arizona Operational Permit Program (AOPP) following a demonstration at the Town of Gilbert, .

💧 What does it mean?
Water systems dependent on groundwater sources contaminated with nitrates, a legacy of Arizona's agricultural industry, are no longer reliant on treatment technologies such as RO and IX that have a large footprint, are energy-intensive, and produce an undesirable waste stream.

BIOBOX Nitrates provides a sustainable treatment option that transforms nitrates into harmless nitrogen gas, ensuring over 95% nitrate removal:

🌍 Moving forward together toward a cleaner Mediterranean thanks to the SEACURE Project 💧
We are proud to be part of the European Project, which aims to reduce nutrient pollution in the soil–river–sea system of the , caused by agriculture and inadequate wastewater treatment.

📍 After the 1st General Assembly in Brussels, the 25 partners from 5 countries have just held a productive 2nd General Assembly in to share progress and strengthen collaboration.

🔬 Our role: the design of a pilot plant in the , based on our biological denitrification technology, to reduce nitrates in agricultural runoff before they reach the sea, as well as its installation, commissioning, and performance evaluation.

🤝 Beyond the technical updates, this meeting also reinforced the human bonds among partners, reminding us that innovation also requires collaboration, trust, and local connection.
