Meet the heartbeat of Gorigesha — Alemayehu, or as we all call him, Alex.

Long before the first coffee tree took root, before Gorigesha became a name known for honoring the birthplace of Gesha coffee, Alex stood beside our founder Yohannes — through vision, challenge, and unwavering belief.

Since those early days, he has quietly shaped our journey, leading logistics and nurturing our team with resilience and humility. His sacrifices are etched into every tree planted, every cherry harvested, every step forward.

Alex is more than a backbone — he is part of the soul of Gorigesha.

This is a Mother Tree. A tree that was planted by mother nature herself. Due to being stumped, they also have two major stems from which dozens of branches grow.

These trees have a root structure decades old. The quality of the coffee produced by this tree is nothing short of exceptional.
