CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - Cake Fest Helsinki 2026!

As you know we now have more than 100 cakes per section 🎉🥳 Therefore, our team need your help to bring the biggest cake community to Helsinki!

🗓️ Date: Sunday, 6th of September, 2026
📍 Location: Free city of Kalasatama, Helsinki (next to Normal, Redi shopping mall)

Shift:
⭐️ Section A: 12-15
⭐️ Section B: 14-17

Role including
* Setting up (Section A)
* Registration
* Info desk
* General flow control
* Cake section (Vegan, Gluten-free, Regular)
* Hygiene station
* Clean-up (during and after the event)
You will be assigned 1-2 roles in 1 section.

Perks:
* Enjoy cakes (a lot) 🎂🍰🧁
* Small gift from Boa and Bim 😻😽

Who can volunteer? - Anyone aged 16 or older, who loves cakes and wants to meet lots of bakers there 😉

⏰ SECTION A: 12:30 - 14:30;
SECTION B: 14:30 - 16:30

🧺 WHAT TO BRING:
• Your cake (at least 15cm in diameter) - UNCUT, please! We want to photograph them first 🥰📸
• Ingredient list + clearly marked allergens
• Your own plate/box
• Fork/spoon
• Non-alcoholic drink
• Cake knife

The rule is simple: NO CAKE, NO ENTRY!
Each cake-bringer can bring a PLUS ONE, and everyone gets to taste all the cakes!

And yes… there will be THREE CAKE PRIZES! 🏆

CAKE PICNIC HELSINKI 2026

TO ALL OUR CAKE FRIENDS: Let’s bring Cake Picnic back to Helsinki this summer!

Let’s have a Cake Picnic at Kaivopuisto on Sunday 23 August, starting from 12:00. Exact address: Puistokatu 4, 00140 Helsinki, Finland.

The rule is simple: NO CAKE NO ENTRY! However, each person that brings a cake can also bring a PLUS ONE! Each person attending can taste everyone’s cake. We love cake in all of its forms - chiffon cakes, upside down cakes, Princess cakes, Russian honey cakes, meringue cakes, jello cakes, trifles, multi-tiered cakes, sponge cakes, butter cakes, and more.

Requirements for the cakes: it needs to be able to cut into at least 8 pieces, or 15cm in diameter. But otherwise, ALL SHAPES AND SIZES ARE WELCOMED 🤗

To reduce the unnecessary usage of single-used items, please bring your personal plates/boxes, forks, drinks, and 1 cake knife to cut your cake 😊 And don’t forget your picnic blanket to sit down and have a chillaxing picnic and enjoy cakes with everyone 🧺

We will start the picnic at 12:00 sharp, so please be on time 👉👈 There will be THREE PRIZES for the best cake 🌟, the prettiest cake 🎂, and the most delicious cake 😋

We can’t wait to see yall there 🥰 This market we bring the trending Ube matcha and refreshing drinks with Lime foam 🍋‍🟩

Come by to grab the Gochu Egg salt bread and Peachy canelé that were our best-sellers (be quick, they sold out fast last festival 😉). For the cheesecake lovers, don’t miss our Matcha jasmine Basque burnt cheesecake, completely melts in your mouth 🤤

Our main store at Käenkuja 4 will be closed on Friday, 10.7, for prep and on Saturday for the open market. All cake orders can be picked up normally.

We are so thankful for everyone who has joined and will be joining the workshop! You always bring such joys and ideas and we love to see your vision brought to life through the workshop!

If you are looking for an analogue activity to do with friends or even by yourself this summer, we are hosting bento cake decoration workshops throughout the month of July 🤗 Each week with a different theme. Next week 14-19/7 (at 14:00 or 16:00), our theme would be “The Love” 💖 If you haven’t got your dates locked in yet, slide in our DMs to reserve a session with us!
