Uusi tuottaja valikoimassamme: Conte Guicciardini ✨🍷

Guicciardinin perhe oli aikanaan merkittävä firenzeläinen aatelissuku. Perhe on omistanut vuodesta 1199 Castello di Poppiano -nimisen keskiaikaisen linnan, joka sijaitsee noin viisi kilometriä etelään Firenzestä. Aikanaan se toimi Firenzen kaupungin puolustuslinnana; tänä päivänä yhdessä sen torneista kypsytetään Toscanan kuuluisaa jälkiruokaviini Vin Santoa. Viinitilan johdossa on tänä päivänä perheen 36. sukupolvi. Castello di Poppianon Chianti Colli Fiorentini -viinien lisäksi Guicciardinilla on viinitila, Belvedere Campóli Chianti Classicossa ja Massi di Mandorlaia Maremmassa, Toscanassa.

New w**ery in our selection: Conte Guicciardini ✨🍷

The Guicciardini family was once one of Florence’s most prominent noble families. Since 1199, the family has owned the medieval Castello di Poppiano, located about five kilometres south of Florence. The castle originally served as part of the city’s defensive fortifications; today, one of its towers is used to age Tuscany’s famous dessert w**e, Vin Santo. The estate is currently run by the family’s 36th generation. In addition to Castello di Poppiano’s Chianti Colli Fiorentini w**es, Guicciardini also owns the Belvedere Campóli estate in Chianti Classico and Massi di Mandorlaia in Maremma, Tuscany.

Uusi tuottaja valikoimassamme: Bodegas Valdelana 😍🍷

Bodegas Valdelana on yksi Rioja Alavesan historiallisimmista viinitiloista. Elciegossa sijaitsevan perheyrityksen juuret ulottuvat vuoteen 1583, ja nykyisin sitä johtaa Valdelanan suvun 14. sukupolvi, Judit ja Juan Valdelana. Tilan noin 150 hehtaarin viinitarhat sijaitsevat Rioja Alavesan ihanteellisissa kasvuolosuhteissa, ja niillä viljellään pääasiassa Tempranilloa. Valdelana tunnetaan erityisesti vanhoista viinitarhoistaan, joista osa on peräisin 1800-luvulta. Tilalla on yhteensä 11 arvostettua viñedos singulares -tarhaa. Viinituotannon lisäksi Valdelana on merkittävä osa Riojan kulttuurihistoriaa.

New w**ery in our selection: Bodegas Valdelana 😍🍷

Bodegas Valdelana is one of the most historic w**eries in Rioja Alavesa. Located in Elciego, the family's w**emaking roots date back to 1583, and today the estate is run by the 14th generation of the Valdelana family, Judit and Juan Valdelana. Its approximately 150 hectares of vineyards benefit from the ideal growing conditions of Rioja Alavesa and are planted primarily with Tempranillo. Valdelana is especially renowned for its old vineyards, some of which date back to the late 19th century. The estate owns a total of 11 prestigious viñedos singulares vineyards. Beyond w**emaking, Valdelana is also an important part of Rioja's cultural heritage.

✨️ Judit Valdelana will be joining us at the Grand Vin Helsinki w**e fair on 16-17 October 2026 at the Old Student House in Helsinki. Come and meet her!

20 years ago happened many things, but the most important thing ever is motherhood (parenthood) ❤️

The first picture is from Chablis in May 2006, 28 weeks pregnant and a caring husband carrying a chair to make it easier. A wonderful journey with our fellow sommelier students; the best ever class of 2005-2006 🥂😍

The second one is from December 2025, another w**ery visit with our already adolescents.

Time flies and the journey continues, but the core is always family first ❤️

Thank you for another edition of Grand Ch*****ne Helsinki 🍾

The three days were full of happy encounters with old and new acquaintances, colleagues and friends ❤️ They were about tasting, sharing stories and especially sharing new experiences both for the palate and the mind.

We had the pleasure to show treasures of Ch*****ne Palmer together with some jewels from the cellar. These are best enjoyed when shared in good company, the core essence of the event 🥂
