🌅 Monday Motivation

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest…” — Galatians 6:9

A new sunrise is a God reminder, every effort, every sacrifice, every early morning will bear fruit in its season.

Blessed week all!

Great to see - the responsibility lies with us all!

NEW LOBSTER SIZE LIMITS AND HARVEST RULES APPROVED

Cabinet has endorsed new size limits and harvest conditions to protect Fiji’s lobster stocks and ensure long-term sustainability of our marine resources.

Minimum size limits will now apply to four lobster species:
• Golden rock lobster (uraukula/urauvatuvatu) – minimum 90mm carapace length
• Painted rock lobster (uraudina) – minimum 120mm carapace length
• Ornate rock lobster (urautamata) – minimum 120mm carapace length
• Slipper lobster (vavaba/ivinibola) – minimum 85mm total length

In addition to size limits, the following measures will apply across all lobster species in Fiji waters:
• The harvest and sale of egg-carrying (berry) females is prohibited
• The harvest and sale of soft-shelled lobsters that have recently moulted is prohibited

These measures are designed to prevent overfishing, protect breeding stock, and allow lobster populations to replenish naturally.

Sustainable fisheries today mean stronger livelihoods and healthier oceans for tomorrow.

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14

This beautiful sunset reminds us to breathe, slow down, and trust the process. Life can feel heavy, work demanding, but even in the struggle, God is working behind the scenes.

As the sun sets, let it be a reminder that rest is part of the journey and that tomorrow brings new strength.

One day at a time. Vinaka Jisu.

🌧️ BAD WEATHER UPDATE – PLEASE STAY SAFE 🌧️

Bula everyone,
With the current bad weather across parts of Fiji, our fishermen are unable to head out safely, which means today’s catch will be limited.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.
Please take care on the roads, look after your families, and stay safe until the weather clears.
