More beeswax products to come soon! All our produce is produced entirely by Waitika Farm. We do not buy honey from other farmers to bottle but produce and bottle our own. This ensures the hygienic and pure nature of our product.

We have been completely overwhelmed by the excellent response to our Waitika Farm job opportunity.

So many incredible women with so much potential have reached out. It’s been quite amazing to see just how much potential there is in our small Rakiraki community. It’s also going to make it so hard to choose just one person!

We will be a little slow getting back to you, but please know it’s only because there are so many really good applications to go through and right now we still don’t have power and constant connectivity.

Here’s the process: (once we all have power and proper connectivity again)

WAITIKA FARM – JOB OPPORTUNITY (BASED IN RAKIRAKI)

Waitika Farm is looking for a friendly, reliable woman to join our small team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will be involved in different activities around the farm, including:
• Assisting with preparing food and farm produce
• Helping keep our farm spaces clean, beautiful, and welcoming
• Supporting small visitor experiences and workshops at the farm
• Assisting with beeswax and product preparation
• Helping with general farm activities when needed

What is important is:
• A positive attitude
• Being reliable and willing to learn
• Enjoying working with people
• Being comfortable around bees
• A good command of spoken and written English

We invite all women to apply, those with no experience as well as women who might already be familiar with areas such as hospitality, food preparation, farming, or tourism, and who may be looking for a meaningful, nature-based working environment.
Starting wage is $50 per day plus FNPF, with opportunities to grow in skills and responsibilities over time.

This position would suit someone who is practical, kind, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being part of a small, supportive team environment.

Calling All Beekeepers in Rakiraki! 🐝🇫🇯❤️💪

Do you have a few hives at home? Or maybe you’ve just started with bees but aren’t sure how to manage them properly? Many of us in the Rakiraki area are keeping bees, but often without enough support or training.

Waitika Farm would love to connect with all local beekeepers — whether you have 2 hives or 20! If we know who and where you are, we can look at organising training sessions on:
✅ Managing hives and growing colonies
✅ Handling varroa mites
✅ Wax cleaning and processing
✅ Other practical beekeeping skills
