KayBee Farm KayBee Farm,is a self-funded integrated and women led farm. Your Farmachy since 2011. The farm has a noteworthy majority talented and hardworking women.

Kaybee Farm, registered as Kalitianaโ€™s Enterprise, is a self-funded integrated women led, farming enterprise operational since 2011. Ms Kalitiana Katarina Senabu, a prominent iTaukei woman affectionately known as Kata, leads the farm with dedication and expertise as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). These women come from diverse ethnic, religious and vulnerable backgrounds. These farmresses, pla

y a central role in the production of various agricultural products, including tilapia, organically grown local vegetables, root crops, vanilla and honey. Their resilience and commitment shine through despite the cultural, social, and financial obstacles they face. The farm is fueled by biofuel for cooking and KayBee Farm uses biofertilser sourced from the HomeBiogas system. Our food is planted and grown in an ecologically friendly part of Fiji just outside the capital, Suva. Since its inception KayBee Farm, has used the principles of traditional knowledge to encapsulate organic farming practises from what Ms Katarina learnt from her parents when they toiled their family farm in Savusavu as a young child. KayBee Farm has shied away from conventional farming practises to maintain the natural fertility of the soil as much as possible. Given that Fiji, like most Pacific Islands is at the frontline of climate change which threatens our existence and food security, adversities in climatic change such as desertification and the effects of global warming will are mitigating. As an add on the global pandemic, COVID-19 severely affected our small business, however, these unfortunate circumstances also provide an opportunity for women to take on this critical role of traditional farming, a role usually reserved for men and break the patriarchal ceiling.
